I’ve seen too much, if so below, then as above. Lord knows I’ve seen enough. It’s crystal clear and uglier than I thought, desperate and lonely juggernauts illuminate the filth with the glow of your righteous heart. Shine a light upon the world and I’ll liveblog this here pro wrestling show for you, folks.

The show opens with the intro video.

CM Punk makes his entrance to join the commentary team for tonight’s episode.

Adam Cole vs. Frankie Kazarian

Hip tosses blocked, Kazarian with a drop toehold into a side headlock, Cole to his feet, back suplex sends Frankie over the ropes and to the floor! Adam back inside and taking a bow, Kaz returns and hangs him up, slingshot, roll through, Cole cuts him off with a pump kick! Reverse chinlock applied, grinding the Elite Hunter down!

Back and forth, Adam blocks the crossface chickenwing and Kaz runs into a superkick... SO CLOSE! Cole up on the second, Panama Sunrise reversed into an Alabama Slam! Springboard leg drop... NOPE! Trading forearms on their knees and to their feet, pump kick for a lariat, Cole reverses into the brainbuster on the knee... STILL NO!

Jockeying for position, Panama Sunrise connects, off the ropes...

Adam Cole wins by pinfall with Last Shot.

Post-match, Cole gets on the mic.

He says hope is a dangerous thing, and that locker room thinks they can keep up with the Elite, but it ain’t gonna happen. He’s only been here for a short time, and three guys have really gotten under his skin— Christian Cage, Luchasaurus, and “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry. If they’re so tough, how about next week on Rampage they do a trios match against him and the Young Bucks?

He says the SuperKliq is back, bay bay, and there’s not a damn thing anybody can do to stop them, and he drops the mic.

We get a video package promo for Lucha Brothers vs. Butcher and the Blade and we go to break.

Sammy Guevara and Fuego del Sol are interviewed in the loading dock.

Fuego says he’d trade his shiny new car in for another shot at the TNT Championship, and when Sammy prompts him, he challenges Miro to a rematch on Rampage this Friday!

Maxwell Jacob Friedman and Wardlow make their entrance.

Friedman gets on the mic and complains about being in the armpit of America, New Jersey. He asks what Bruce Springsteen, Taylor Ham, and the New Jersey hockey team have in common, and says they all suck as hard as Jersey Shore skanks. He refuses to apologize to the fans at home for last week and has a conversation with the ghost of Brian Pillman.

He talks to heaven at first before immediately changing gears and looking down as if Pillman is in hell. He tells Brian that his kid is the worst second generation wrestler and that he should tell his son that if he shows up in Queens, MJF is going to massacre him. The fans can chant Pillman all they want, but at the end of the day it should be obvious that he’s better—

The Varsity Blonds music hits and Max sends Wardlow to meet them in the aisle but Brian Pillman, Jr. comes from the crowd with a chair! Mr. Mayhem turns around and gets back in time to take the chair away, Pillman slaps him in the face and low bridges him to the apron! Chair in hand, he runs Wardlow off and he and MJF regroup on the floor!

This segues into Jim Ross doing a sitdown interview with Pillman, Jr.

JR leads off by telling him about when his dad told him that he was going to have a son and says that last week was humiliating. For the family’s sake, they need to see MJF get his ass whipped. Brian says Jim knows his family history better than anybody and he knows how important it is for him to make his dad proud, and last week he feels like he let him down.

Pillman says when MJF was eating out of a silver spoon he was fighting for his life, and they’re not the same, and Friedman’s never been in the ring with somebody like him. His upbringing was feral and you don’t know what he’s lost and the adversity he’s been through, and he’ll be stepping into the ring with a Pillman.

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, Jurassic Express and Christian Cage are interviewed.

Jungle Boy says he has better friends and hair than Adam Cole, and when it comes to— Christian cuts him off and says Adam does have pretty good friends, friends who threw him a lifeline and dragged his sorry ass out of developmental. And since he’s already used to losing Wednesday night wars, he might as well throw Fridays in there, too.

Dante Martin & Matt Sydal vs. FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood)

Sydal and Harwood to start, Matt trying to end things early with pinning predicaments, hip tosses, flying headscissors, tag to Martin! Leap frogs into dropkicks, cover for one! Dax rams Dante into the corner, chops, whip across, float over, Wheeler kicks Martin off the apron and he crashes to the floor!

Working Dante over on the floor, brawling, Cash throws him into the post and then back inside, basement dropkick! Drawing Martin up, headbutt connects, reverse chinlock, wrenching it in but Dante gets a jawbreaker for separation. Tag to Harwood, double whip, Martin with knees up, back elbow, up and over, slide under, tag to Sydal!

Kicks for everybody, running hot, stereo dives to the floor and we go to break!

Back from commercial, Harwood has Sydal in a Cobra Twist but he gets out and hip tosses him! Wheeler tags in, whip, off the ropes, blind tag, Martin in with a huge dropkick! Forearms, running hot, dropkicks, duck a lariat, hip toss into a tijeras and then a big leaping senton atomico! European Clutch for two, double leg, jackknife pin, Cash bridges out!

Fighting over a backslide, tag to Dax, flip him through, flip over the Big Rig attempt, Sydal in, stereo pins... SO CLOSE! Cash legal, Martin off the ropes, backflip away but he gets caught...

FTR win by pinfall with Big Rig on Dante Martin.

Commentary brings up the Suzuki Incident and CM Punk talks about how seriously they take it and what a pioneer Minoru Suzuki is in both pro wrestling and mixed martial arts. Minoru feels insulted and wants some payback and to hear his entrance music.

This segues into a video package from Suzuki and Lance Archer about Jon Moxley’s match against Minoru. Archer says once Suzuki-gun, always Suzuki-gun, and we get some New Japan footage of them kicking ass together before they declare in unison that “Suzuki-gun ichiban.”

Malakai Black makes his entrance and gets on the mic.

He says there’s an enemy amongst us, and the camera highlights Rosario Dawson in the front row, wearing a Nightmare Family jacket. Cody Rhodes returns through the crowd, Dawson hops the rails and tries to choke Black out! He shrugs her off but Cody attacks and they brawl up into the crowd!

They’re fighting on the stairs and throwing fans’ food at each other as we go to break.

Back from commercial, we get a recap of Rosario Dawson trying to choke Malakai Black out, which is a sentence I just typed.

We get a video package for the feud between the Bunny and Anna Jay.

The Dark Order are interviewed.

Evil Uno cuts Anna off from answering about debuting on Rampage and Alex Reynolds rolls up and berates Uno for being a bad leader. Alan “V” Angels agrees, Anna Jay tells them all to shut up and says if they’re gonna be like this she doesn’t want any of them at ringside for her match.

Dan Lambert, American Top Team, and the Men of the Year are in the ring.

Lambert says back in his day you knew who was over by whose merch sold but now all AEW shirts are sold out... in men’s small and women’s extra large. He derides the modern indie main event style at length—

Enter Chris Jericho and Jake Hager.

Dan says the crowd doesn’t know the words to Judas but they keep singing after it cuts off to prove him wrong. Jericho says they’d sing along to Lambert’s song but nobody knows the words to “I’m a Fat-Faced Dipshit Yeah Yeah Yeah,” but then he goes and sings a few bards of it so who’s the fat-faced dipshit here, Chris?

Y2J asks why Lambert is a grumpy old man screaming at AEW clouds, surrounded by meatheads, and he wants to know which one is on top. He puts Hager’s MMA credentials over and obliquely refers to his backstage fights against Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg as proof that he can hang. He quotes Mike Tyson in saying everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face, and he wants to knock Dan’s teeth down his throat.

Lambert says if you want to see the Men of the Year take out the Inner Circlejerk, you’ll have to see it in a real city, not in this shithole of New Jersey. Next week, in the Big Apple!

Gunn Club get a promo where they point out that they’re undefeated in all combinations.

Jade Cargill vs. Leyla Hirsch

Cargill chest-bumps Hirsch right in the head, initially dominant, Leyla turns her around, corner knees into a slingshot dropkick, cover for one! Shifting to an armbar on the kickout, deadlift powerbomb counter! Jade puts boots to her as we go to break.

Back from commercial, Hirsch has a bodyscissors sleeper hold locked in but Cargill manages to sling her off! Duck the pump kick, German suplex denied, short-arm gives her the leverage to hit the German but she can’t keep Jade down! Suicide dive knocks Cargill into the barricade, back inside, cover for two!

Leg pick, Leyla headed up top, nobody home on the moonsault! Jade plans her with the pump kick and draws her up...

Jade Cargill wins by pinfall with Jaded.

Andrade el Idolo cuts a promo about how he’s one step ahead and never gave Chavo Guerrero, Jr. permission to interfere in his match on Rampage.

He says he’s the Kingpin, and he can beat PAC or anyone whenever he wants.

Taz rolls up with Hook in tow and confronts CM Punk about “taking his job.”

Punk gets up from the desk to jaw with him and Hook gets between his dad and CM, and “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs blasts Punk from behind with a charging forearm! CM fighting back from his knees, Hook locks the Dragon sleeper on and Hobbs kicks him in the ribs! Hook tells commentary to clear out and starts pulling monitors off the announce table!

Will drags Punk to his feet... CHOKESLAM INTO THE ANNOUNCE TABLE!

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial we get a recap of the beating Team Taz just handed CM Punk.

A video package for Darby Allin vs. Shawn Spears follows.

Darby Allin vs. Shawn Spears

Spears taking it to Allin out the gates, suplexing him into the ropes and sending him crashing to the floor! Shawn jawing at Sting as he drags Darby around ringside and throws him into the steel steps! Spears moves the steps into position next to the apron, smashes Allin face-first into them and then traps him against them for repeated knees to the head!

Running for a head of steam but Darby sidesteps and Shawn knees the steps hard! Off the ropes, Tully Blanchard gets in the way and cuts off a dive! Spears throws Allin in the ring and soaks a towel on the timekeeper’s table, bringing it in to scrub Darby’s facepaint off of him and send us to break!

Back from commercial, Spears has the Scorpion Deathlock in on Allin but he gets the ropes and forces the break! Boots up in the corner, basement dropkick, up top, Darby punching Shawn’s knee but Spears slings him off! Diamond Dust puts Spears on the steps, suicide dive follows, back inside and up top...

Darby Allin wins by pinfall with a Coffin Drop.

Post-match, FTR attack Darby and Sting! Tully Blanchard gets into it with Sting, FTR beat the Icon down, Allin recovers but Cash Wheeler is able to beat him down and keep him down! Harwood gets Sting up... FTR WITH THE SPIKE PILEDRIVER ON STING! Blanchard wipes his facepaint off with a wet towel!

The American Dragon Bryan Danielson cuts a promo about how he’s going after Kenny Omega.

He’s heard how great Omega is, he’s seen how great Omega is, but coming here, he’s the best Bryan Danielson there’s ever been. He’s here and he’s game, let’s go.

Tony Schiavone is in the ring and he introduces Danielson for an in-ring interview.

Before he can really start answering, “ice water enema” (as Excalibur called him) Don Callis makes his entrance with Omega right behind him.

He calls Dragon a hippie millionaire and says he’s listened to this all week and Bryan is a sanctimonious son of a bitch. Callis runs him down for claiming he made his decision to come to AEW for the good of the wrestling business, but Kenny told him that’s really how Danielson thinks, and he’s not a carny piece of shit, but rather just a mark like all these people.

Dragon yells at him to shut up and says he’s here to talk to Kenny Omega. He says some day this might be about the title, but right now it’s just about who’s better and giving the people what they want, Omega vs. Danielson. Callis freaks out and says no way, and again Dragon tells him to shut up and that he came here to talk to Kenny.

But maybe he shouldn’t have, since he came to AEW to fight the Best Bout Machine, the God of Professional Wrestling, but since he’s been here all he’s seen is a guy that hangs out with a bunch of goofy stooges and lets this piece of shit talk for him. He’s heard that Omega’s lost his confidence, lost his step, but he doesn’t think that’s true, he thinks Kenny has just lost his balls.

So what do you say, yes or no? Omega asks if he wants the Best Bout Machine and says his answer is yes, much to Don’s chagrin!

Miro calls Fuego Del Sol out for putting himself on a blade that’s already spared him and he’s gonna bash his brain and then bash his car and leave his family grateful for it.

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, Matt Hardy cuts a promo about how he’s sick and tired of Orange Cassidy’s antics and he’s gonna shave his head.

Commentary hypes up next week’s shows, confirming Danielson vs. Omega for next week’s Dynamite and CM Punk vs. “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs for next week’s Rampage, among other things.

2.0 (Jeff Parker & Matt Lee) vs. Eddie Kingston & Jon Moxley

2.0 jump Moxley and Kingston before the bell and they brawl on the floor!

Parker and Mox in the ring as the bell sounds, Jon with the Crash Landing! Mixing it up with Lee, Matt runs away and begs off and Daniel Garcia runs interference as Parker runs Moxley over and we go to break on 2.0 flapjacking him into the apron!

Back from commercial, Moxley is isolated but able to get away. Forearms on Parker, Lee with a drop toehold and Jeff drops an elbow off of him for two! Tag to Kingston, coming in with heavy hands and overhead chops, whip Lee into Parker, Stinger Splash on both of them and the machine gun chops follow! Exploder suplex on Matt, a huge palm strike knocks Garcia off the apron and then he backfists Jeff!

DDT on Lee, tag back to Mox! Fired up, half nelson suplex with a lariat assist...

Eddie Kingston & Jon Moxley win by pinfall with a half nelson suplex / lariat combination on Jeff Parker.

He makes his entrance casually, with an evil grin on his face, poking at his stitched-up eyelid as he advances on the ring and Kaze ni Nare plays out to the big pop! Lance Archer is here as well, and all four men brawl! Moxley smashes Suzuki’s face into the timekeeper’s table and sets him up on it! They brawl on the table... MINORU WITH THE GOTCH LIFT BUT MOX CRACKS HIM IN THE INJURED EYE WITH A MICROPHONE!

Mox chokes Suzuki out and drags him into the crowd to keep brawling as we go off the air.

That’s the show, folks.
