The first weekend of November is a big one for combat sports. UFC has stacked its card from Madison Square Garden on Sat., Nov. 6, and boxing champions Canelo Álvarez vs. Caleb Plant will unify the super middleweight titles for the first time in the sport’s history on that same night in Vegas.
Because of that, as rumored, AEW opted to move their Full Gear PPV from its originally announced Nov. 6 to the following Saturday. With that show now on Nov. 13, and with talent coming & going through The Forbidden Door to other promotions, it’s not surprising AEW’s change would cause a few ripples in the greater pro wrestling ocean.
One show impacted by the Full Gear move looks to be New Japan’s Battle in the Valley at the San Jose Civic on Nov. 13. Bell time for the NJPW America is now 8pm PT, and Jon Moxley is off the show. New Japan announced Will Ospreay will replace Mox on their return to Northern California.
