AEW books two title matches for next week’s shows

Next week will be a big one for AEW, as they head to Pittsburgh for Dynamite on Wednesday and the premiere episode of Rampage on Friday.

On the Aug. 4 edition of Dynamite, they lined up one title match for each show.

Aug. 11 will have a Tag Team championship bout, but it won’t be AEW’s belts on the line. Good Brothers Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows are giving the Dark Order’s Evil Uno & Stu Grayson a chance to win their Impact belts. The Dark Order lost out on a chance to challenge The Young Bucks for the AEW straps when they & Hangman Page lost last week’s 10 man Elimination to The Elite.

Promotion for Aug. 13 has revolved around Pittsburgh’s own Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. The AEW Women’s champion was still sporting a cast on her injured arm when she came out for an interview tonight, but that didn’t stop her from helping her similarly injured sidekick Rebel to beat down Red Velvet after accepting Velvet’s challenge for Rampage. That match will happen next Friday on the first edition of AEW’s new TNT show.

Nothing else was announced for Rampage, but next week’s Dynamite will also feature Chris Jericho’s Third Labour: a match against Wardlow with Maxwell Jacob Friedman as the referee ringside to ensure the match is called “fair and square”. Jericho needs to win to get a one-on-one match with MJF.

We also learned that American Top Team’s Dan Lambert will be back, and he’s bringing back-up after Lance Archer shut him up last time he was in AEW. Plus, Kris Statlander goes against Nyla Rose in singles action.
