Hangman Page and Dark Order go their separate ways (Updated)

Last week, Dark Order’s Tag title dreams were dashed when they & Hangman Page lost an 10 man Elimination match to The Elite.

Of course, they weren’t the only ones with a championship opportunity on the line. Page lost his #1 ranking, and with it a chance to take the World title from his old partner Kenny Omega.

What now? With rumors that Hangman won’t be on All Out at all, Evil Uno & squad weren’t the only ones asking that. Seems they couldn’t get in touch with their friend the cowboy all week, but he did mosey into their interview with Tony Schiavone on the Aug. 4 Dynamite. Page hit his friends and the fans with a surprise... he still loves the Dark Order gang, but he needs to settle things with Omega & The Young Bucks by himself.

HANGMAN WALKS ALONE!

John Silver and the boys didn’t like it, but Uno convinced them to give Page space to do what he needs to do.

It’s an interesting twist to this long-running story. Dark Order taught the anxious millennial cowboy to trust again, but he needs to deal with his former friends by himself. But is it stringing things out for too long when fans were already primed for the end?

For their part, Omega & The Bucks announced their intention to retire with the belts. At least Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson will give Dark Order a shot at the Impact titles...

UPDATE: Page was out for an in-ring interview with Tony Schiavone to explain his decision to split from Dark Order. The Elite rolled up on it, and it wasn’t long before the beatdown was on. Several members of D.O. rushed in to help, but Uno & Stu Grayson honored Hangman’s request and wouldn’t let them.

Elite Hunter Frankie Kazarian tried to even things up, but paid the price. The Bucks then gave Page two BTE Triggers, and Kenny gave him a close up look at something he says the cowboy will never have... the World title.

UPDATE 2: After beating The Blade, Christian Cage was officially named the new #1 contender for Omega’s title.
