Tony Khan can’t answer question about Daniel Bryan, but confirms ‘multiple additions’ to AEW are coming

It’s been over a month now since we first saw reports get out that Daniel Bryan had maybe signed a contract with AEW. In the meantime, the Young Bucks have cracked jokes about it, Paul Wight has publicly pitched Bryan on it, the locker room is buzzing about it, and CM Punk may or may not actively be teasing it on his shoes.

It’s a fun time in pro wrestling!

When AEW President Tony Khan joined Wrestling Observer Radio for an interview, they tried to ask him about it but got stonewalled:

“I can’t answer that question. It’s fair for you to ask. Nothing I can address on the Observer today. He’s one of the all-time greats.”

That’s not far removed from the way he handled questions regarding Punk ahead of his big return to pro wrestling on Rampage on Aug. 20. He did confirm, however, that there are going to be some new faces coming in soon:

“Definitely going to make multiple additions in the next 4-6 months. Will be some activity in the near future. I can’t specify exactly what it is but I don’t think people want me to.”

There are a few names out there fans would definitely be interested in showing up, like Bryan or perhaps Bray Wyatt. We’ll have to wait and see.
