Giannis marked out for AEW tag team wrestling

Fans in the building for Wednesday night’s Rampage taping in Milwaukee already let us know that NBA Finals MVP Giannis Antetekounmpo was in attendance for the show that aired last night (Aug. 27) on TNT. Now that the show’s aired, we got a better look at the well-documented wrestling fan did, and enjoyed, during the show.

In addition to getting an introduction from Tony Khan and a hero’s welcome from the fans at UWM Panther Arena, the Greek Freak was front row for Rampage’s opening match. Antetekounmpo was on his feet for much of Lucha Bros win over Jurassic Express. When the post-match angle featured an attack by Penta El Zero M & Rey Fenix’s All Out opponents, Tag champs The Young Bucks, Giannis even tried to warn the babyface teams!

It was very cool to see the big man digging the action... unless you were in the seat behind the nearly seven footer.

It probably wasn’t the highlight of Giannis’ night though. He did snap a pic with a legend backstage, after all...
