Here’s a place to check results and comment along with a new episode of AEW Rampage, airing tonight at 10 pm ET on TNT.
The latest edition of AEW’s new show comes our way on tape from UWM Panther Arena in Milawukee (spoilers are here, if you’re interested - and if you are and chose to discuss them in the comments, please use the spoiler tag). This week's episode features Jurassic Express vs. Lucha Bros for the right to challenge The Young Bucks for the Tag titles in a Steel Cage match at All Out. The night’s other two matches also build to next weekend’s PPV, as Christian Cage teams with Elite Hunter Frankie Kazarian against World champ Kenny Omega & Brandon Cutler, while two entrants in the Casino Battle Royal face-off when Tay Conti goes against The Bunny.
Come right back here at 10 pm ET when Rampage kicks off on TNT. We’ll update the post with everything that happens on the show below the line.
REMINDER: Please keep GIFs and pics to a minimum. They slow down updates and refreshes for some of your fellow community members.
Enjoy the show!
AEW RAMPAGE RESULTS FOR AUG. 27
- Lucha Brothers (Penta el Zero M & Rey Fenix) over Jurassic Express (“Jungle Boy” Jack Perry & Luchasaurus) by pinfall with the assisted piledriver on Luchasaurus to become #1 contenders to the AEW World Tag Team Championship. (Tournament Finals)
- The Young Bucks watched the opener from the stage and immediately jump the Lucha Brothers after, beating them down until Jurassic Express make the save.
- We get a video package for CM Punk vs. Darby Allin with exactly enough new footage of Punk to count for his AEW appearance streak.
- Miro drags Fuego del Sol out of the entry tunnels and throws him in the ring for his interview with Tony Schiavone. He tells Fuego he’ll forgive him but he wants to reveal his face to the world first. He tears del Sol’s mask off and lays him out with a Machka Kick!
- Eddie Kingston shows up to cut a promo on Miro but sets the mic down and rushes the ring anyway! The Redeemer meets him and we get a brawl! The War King gets the better of him before referees rush the ring to separate him and turn it into a pull-apart brawl!
- The Bunny over Tay Conti by pinfall with a brass knuckle punch after Penelope Ford came to the ring late in the match and gave the Blade an opportunity to pass the knucks to the Bunny.
- We get a recap of the build to Brian Cage vs. “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs.
- Mark Henry interviews the men in our main event tonight via satellite. Kenny Omega and his camp are supremely confident and treating tonight’s match like a tune-up, and Christian Cage claims that his victory for the Impact World Championship has sent Omega scrambling to put his puzzle back together. Frankie Kazarian tells Kenny to get in the ring and not just leave to his “bitch-ass stooge” Cutler.
- Christian Cage & Frankie Kazarian over the Elite (Brandon Cutler & Kenny Omega) by pinfall with the Killswitch from Cage on Cutler after Omega walked out on his partner after nailing him with a V-Trigger and nearly eating a Killswitch himself.
- That’s the show, folks.
