Punk retires a nickname, teases Bryan & more in second AEW appearance

CM Punk’s second AEW appearance, and his first on Dynamite, came at the top of that show’s second hour on Aug. 25.

The Milwaukee crowd was chanting for him as highlights of Punk’s debut on last Friday’s Rampage played. Tony Schiavone was in the ring for an interview, but we first we got a little “Cult of Personality”.

Schiavone had a hard time getting his first question out over the chants, and Punk riffed on the pop that’s marked his return by telling the legendary announcer he couldn’t hear him. When Tony got the question out, it was what brought you back?

The Best in the World again put over the young talent on the AEW roster, and talked specifically about testing himself to see if he “can still go” against Darby Allin at All Out. He also retired the nickname “Voice of The Voiceless”, because the fans are the voice of All Elite, and there are people backstage who actually listen.

He also responded to a “YES!” chant by saying “that’s somebody else’s schtick” and telling us we’d have to be a little more patient before using it on Dynamite (BRYAN DANIELSON DEBUT IMMINENT).

Then he blew his wife a kiss (AJ LEE RETURN POSSIBLE?) and exited to even more cheers.

In case you forgot since last Friday, CM Punk is very good at this.
