AEW Rampage live results, open thread (Aug. 13, 2021): Series premiere

AEW’s Twitter

Here’s a place to check results and comment along with a new episode of AEW Rampage, airing tonight at 10 pm ET on TNT.

The premiere of AEW’s new show comes our way from Pittsburgh’s Peterson Events Center, and will feature hometown hero Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. defending her Women’s title against Red Velvet in tonight’s main event. Every match on Rampage is for a title tonight, as Kenny Omega defends the Impact World championship against Christian Cage in the opener, and Fuego Del Sol will try to secure an AEW contract for himself by taking Miro’s TNT title. And maybe Tony Khan will have a few surprises for us along the way...

Come right back here at 10 pm ET when Rampage kicks off on TNT. We’ll update the post with everything that happens on the show below the line.

REMINDER: Please keep GIFs and pics to a minimum. They slow down updates and refreshes for some of your fellow community members.

Enjoy the show!

AEW RAMPAGE RESULTS FOR AUG. 13

- We’re live! The intro is just like the commercials.

- Pittsburgh sounds fired up as our four man booth (Excalibur, Chris Jericho, Taz & Mark Henry) runs down the card.

- Christian Cage def. Kenny Omega to win the Impact World championship; hitting the Kill Switch onto a steel chair The Young Bucks threw to Omega while Don Callis had the referee distacted

- Henry interviews Cage backstage. The new champ is accompanied by Jurassic Express for a celebration with a little bit of the bubbly. The former WWE stars have a nice moment together. Christian promised to take Omega’s belts, but he knows how hard this one was, and that the AEW World title will be even harder to win at All Out

- Fuego Del Sol gets a quick video to hype up the biggest match of his life. If he can upset Miro for the TNT championship, he’ll be signed to an AEW contract

- Miro def. Fuego Del Sol to retain the TNT title; Del Sol hit a tornado DDT before the bell, then almost won by countout with a second one. A third got a nearfall, but Miro caught a move off the top, and it was soon Game Over. Miro ripped up the contract while Fuego was still writhing in pain on the mat.

- But don’t worry! After a break, Tony Khan & Sammy Guevara come out. Khan hands Guevara a clipboard, and Sammy heads to the ring to tell his best friend that he may not win, but the fans love him, so now he’s All Elite.

- A commercial for next week’s First Dance episode in Chicago reminds us that Darby Allin kinda called out CM Punk

- Henry interviews the main eventers from separate remote locations backstage. Red Velvet says she’s going to ruin the AEW Women’s champ’s night in her hometown. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. says that even with a broken freakin’ wrist, at the end of the night it’s going to be “AND STILL”

- Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. def. Red Velvet for the AEW Women’s championship, locking in Lockjaw with her good hand to force the tapout

- Baker continued the assault on Velvet after the bell, prompting Kris Statlander to jump in the ring from the front row to make the save. But Statlander was blindsided by a woman in a hat, who revealed herself to be Jamie Hayter - the doctor’s new muscle.
