Paul Wight, the wrestler formerly known as Big Show, has been with AEW since February. He’s talked about returning to the ring, and a lot of us are still salivating at the possibility of finally seeing him and Shaquille O’Neal go one-on-one. But thus far in his time working for Tony Khan, Wight’s been focused on interviews and commentary for the YouTube show Dark: Elevation.
He didn’t have a match or anything on the Aug. 11 episode of Dynamite. But when QT Marshall and Aaron Solow & Nick Coromoto of his Factory stable attack his Elevation announce partner Tony Schiavone and Schiavone’s son Chris, Wight had seen enough.
It was chokeslam time for Solow!

Marshall doesn’t do much for me, but some of his guys have potential. If Wight’s return to the ring involves giving a rub to guys like Coromoto & Anthony Ogogo while kicking QT’s ass... I wouldn’t be mad at it. Plus, you just know he’ll turn on the Schiavones at some point. Deep down, he’s still Big Show.
Anyway, even if this is the extent of the angle - it was nice to see that chokeslam again.
