AEW ratings continue to impress with Fight for the Fallen

All Elite Wrestling

Fight for the Fallen continued AEW Dynamite’s recent impressive ratings results on Wednesday nights.

Per Wrestlenomics’ Brandon Thurston, last night’s (July 28) Dynamite brought in an hourly average audience of 1,108,000 viewers, with a 0.45 rating in the key 18 to 49 year old demographic. These results match up well with last week’s 1,148,000 and 0.44 in those respective metrics.

These numbers rank among the top five in Dynamite history. The main event of this episode was a bloody deathmatch between Chris Jericho and Nick Gage that involved a pizza cutter, light tubes, and a glass pane. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but the ultra-violence on display seems to have done the trick.

With AEW now teasing the return of CM Punk to pro wrestling at The First Dance on Aug. 20, it seems like a strong bet that fan interest will remain piqued at least in the short term.

Here’s a breakdown of AEW viewership and rating in the 18-49 demo over the last year:
