Tony Khan didn’t show up to personally announce the “major new event” AEW told us we’d hear about at Fight for the Fallen on July 28, but Tony Schiavone did a good job with it.
Really, anyone could have told us the second episode of Rampage on Aug. 20 would be subtitled “The First Dance” and come our way from Chicago’s United Center. The result would have been the same.
CM Punk chants.
CHICAGO! A LIVE #AEWRampage is coming to @UnitedCenter on Friday, Aug. 20: The First Dance! Tickets on sale this Monday (8/2) at https://t.co/UN1cNj1kQq.

If that’s not enough for you, the segment was followed with a backstage interview with Darby Allin and Sting. Allin said he’d be in Chicago for the just-announced show, and that if anyone wants to prove they’re THE BEST IN THE WORLD...

If you haven’t been on the internet for the last two weeks, word is CM Punk (and Daniel Bryan Danielson) will both be making their AEW debuts soon. Punk is believed to be debuting in his beloved hometown... like at a show in the Chi-town’s 20,000+ seat home of the Bulls and Blackhawks.
