PAC is interviewed backstage.

He says the Lucha Brothers are here, at the airport, but it seems some anonymous individual canceled their car, who could that be?

Andrade el Idolo and Chavo Guerrero, Jr. interrupt. Chavo apologizes for the travel issues and says they booked a limousine for the Lucha Brothers. Andrade warns PAC to learn to treat his people better, because if he doesn’t, they’ll work for someone who will.

Taz is on an FTW branded podium or something and he gives Ricky Starks a big intro.

There’s a live brass band and everything!

Starks gets in the ring and on the mic and says he loved the intro and notes that Will Hobbs is out recruiting. He talks about winning the FTW Championship and getting rid of the garbage that is Brian Cage. He’s been the glue and the anchor of Team Taz since day one and he can let things slide. He could forgive Cage costing him matches, but he can’t forgive him not checking in on him when he broke his neck.

That’s when he realized he’s a selfish guy and he doesn’t know the meaning of teamwork. Ricky says he knows how to be a star and Cage couldn’t even get an ounce of charisma to rub off on him as they stood together.

Enter Brian Cage.

He drops a trombone player with a lariat and then smashes a bass drum over the percussionist’s head! Trombone in hand, Cage goes in the ring and breaks it over his knee! Starks throws his roses at him and runs away!

Hiroshi Tanahashi sends a promo in talking up the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship and promising to challenge the winner of tonight’s match!

FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) vs. Proud-N-Powerful (Ortiz & Santana)

Wheeler and Ortiz to start, bit of dirty mat grappling, Angel with a headlock takeover, Cash to his feet, back elbow, snapmare, off the ropes, shoulder block! Drop down, leapfrog, back roll trips Wheeler up and he spills out of the ring! Tags made, double lariats, trading forearms, Santana doing the Three Amigos! Dax takes Santana out with a DDT and climbs up top, superplex, both shoulders down but no count! Harwood gets Ortiz up...

FTR win by pinfall with a sheerdrop brainbuster from Dax Harwood on Ortiz.

Post-match, Cash is tended to by medics for a pretty nasty-looking laceration on one arm.

Dr. Britt Baker, DMD is interviewed backstage.

She says Nyla Rose breaks bitches but she still managed to tap her out with a broken freakin’ wrist. She sees it, she keeps getting hurt and Reba can’t keep looking out for her all by herself, so it’s time to get somebody to look out for them.

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, Tony Schiavone is on the stage.

He has another special announcement for AEW Rampage, on August 20 it’ll be in Chicago for The First Dance.

Predictably, “CM Punk!” chants go up at this announcement

Darby Allin cuts a promo backstage that honestly I’m zoned out a little getting emotional but he finishes by tagging the “best in the world” so...!!!

HIKULEO vs. Lance Archer (c) (IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship)

They square up, Archer with a boot, charging elbows, but HIKULEO fires up and starts clobbering him! Fireman’s carry, Lance fires back with forearms, but the challenger knocks him to the floor and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Archer with a northern lariat, back elbows and forearms, short-arm lariats, up in the corner... BIG MAN SUPERPLEX! Lance gets him up...

Lance Archer wins by pinfall with Blackout to retain the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship.

Cody Rhodes is interviewed backstage from Gorilla—

MALAKAI BLACK RUNS UP AND NAILS HIM WITH A BIG BOOT! They brawl, Cody drags him up the steps and out to the stage! The brawl continues, Black lays him out with a wicked knee strike! Wrestlers and agents and security swarm but Malakai lays Fuego del Sol out with Black Mass!

He stares at the chaos and we go to break.

Back from commercial, we get footage from earlier of Miro cutting a promo.

He says the TNT Championship is known for open challenges, but since he won the title, his challengers has drawn up. But he’s going to fight next week, and nobody can take his divine right away from him, and the only things that motivate him are a vengeful god and a double-jointed wife.

Christian Cage & Jurassic Express (“Jungle Boy” Jack Perry & Luchasaurus) vs. Hardy Family Office (Angelico, Isiah Kassidy, & Marq Quen)

Angelico and Christian to start, go-behind, hammerlock into a hip toss. Cage back to his feet, arm wringer, Angelico reverses but gets slapped in the face! Tag to Perry, double whip, double hip toss, only one! Big lucha arm drag, dropkick, kip-up and Jack is fired up! Out and back in, Jungle Boy’s rally is gone and Kassidy is choking him!

Eventually he gets away, Luchasaurus tags in and cleans house! HE GERMAN SUPLEXES ALL THREE OF THEM AT ONCE! Goozles on both of Private Party but they flip out of it and nail him with stereo kicks! Christian fights Isiah off but Quen does a Poetry in Motion to knock him down! Jungle Boy in, turns the tide, off the roeps, tope con giro while Luchasaurus tags Cage in and chokeslams Quen! Christian off the top...

Christian Cage & Jurassic Express win by pinfall with a frog splash from Cage on Marq Quen.

Post-match, Blade lays Christian out with the knucks!

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, we get a video package for the Ultraviolent King himself, Nick Gage, MDK Eastern Block H8 Club represent.

Varsity Blonds and Julia Hart get an inset promo where they talk up how she’s gonna prove herself agianst Thunder Rosa tonight.

Thunder Rosa also gets a promo where she says she’s an outsider but tonight she’s gonna have her first official match as a member of the roster and show why she can do as she likes.

Julia Hart vs. Thunder Rosa

Mat grappling to start, Rosa with a leg pick but Hart gets the ropes. Chops in the ropes, choking her in the corner, Julia comes back with a cartwheel lariat, Thunder trips her up, kneebar applied but Hart gets the ropes! Hesitation dropkick in the corner, drawing her up, scoop lift...

Thunder Rosa wins by pinfall with the Fire Thunder Driver.

Commentary hypes up next week’s show for us and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Jon Moxley cuts a promo.

He talks about watching the Olympics and complains that he can’t seem to get into Japan lately, but the second he loses the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship Tanahashi shows his face? Screw him, he doesn’t get to wrestle him, he’s dead to him. He sent a huge stack of contracts to his boy in the office in Japan and we’ll see what comes through the forbidden door.

Maybe Tanahashi’s the only smart one, who learned from what happened to Nagata and Suzuki, who understands what’s waiting on the other side of the forbidden door.

Chris Jericho vs. Nick Gage (Five Labours of Jericho No Rules Match)

Gage has the pizza cutter at the ready, slashing Jericho’s bicep! Slugging it out with punches, Chris off the ropes but he gets caught by a spinebuster! Off the ropes, facewash, Jericho falls to the floor and Nick stalks out after him. Punches, headbutts, Jericho whips him into the barricade and throws him back inside!

Y2J up top, Gage meets him with punches and climbs up after him... SUPERPLEX! Hanging on, Falcon Arrow... NO GOOD! Looking for another facewash, Jericho catces him and puts him in the Walls of Jericho! No rope breaks, Nick uses the ropes to pull himself free! To the floor again, Gage puts him face-first into the ringpost!

Nick goes under the ring for plunder and pulls a pair of light tubes out! Two more, Jericho has Floyd in hand, Gage turns around and eats a bat shot to the gut and the back! Gage ducks another one... CHOKEBREAKER! Nick pulls out another pizza cutter and calls for it before slicing it across Jericho’s forehead repeatedly to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Gage lays a pane of glass across two chairs! WE GOT ALL THE DEATHMATCH FIXINS! He goes up top, Jericho cuts him off... AVALANCHE FRANKENSTEINER THROUGH THE PANE OF GLASS MOTHER OF GOD! GAGE COMES BACK WITH A SPINEBUSTER AND SMASHES LIGHT TUBES OVER JERICHO’S BACK! STUMP PILEDRIVER INTO THE SHARDS OF GLASS BUT STILL Y2J WILL NOT STAY DOWN!

NICK GOUGES CHRIS’ FOREHEAD WITH A BROKEN SHARD OF LIGHT TUBE! AND AGAIN, RIGHT OVER HIS EYE! GAGE GETS A PAIR OF BUNDLES OF TUBES AND BRINGS THEM IN, BUT JERICHO BLINDS HIM WITH THE MIST! SMASHES THE BUNDLE OVER HIS HEAD, JERICHO WINDS UP...

Chris Jericho wins by pinfall with the Judas Effect.

Post-match, Maxwell Jacob Friedman gets up from commentary and complains.

He starts cutting a promo using some verbiage from the Pipe Bomb (“as you sit there...”) and says he knows he isn’t going to get to wrestle him, especially knowing Labour Number 3. Y2J has to hit a move off the top rope to win, and his opponent is somebody that came up in their previous feuds... JUVENTUD GUERRERA!

THE JUICE IS LOOSE!

THAT’S THE SHOW, FOLKS!
