AEW released their latest rankings (July 21, 2021). Let’s check out the movers and shakers.

AEW is at it again with shock value shifts. Christian Cage went from being unranked to popping in at #3. He is out working everyone to make the peeps proud. I do believe Christian has a strong enough résumé for that spot, however, it loses ground by hopping over Darby Allin. Both men had big wins last week. Christian defeated Matt Hardy, while Allin defeated Ethan Page in a Coffin Match. The message being sent is that Hardy is a far superior competitor than Page. I’d like to get Page’s take on that. Even though it would be heel versus heel, a feud between HFO and Men of the Year would be interesting.
Speaking of Page, he slid off the charts from #5. Orange Cassidy was another who slid hard. OC dropped from #2 to #5. He’ll get a chance to rise back up if he can win his match against Blade tonight on Dynamite. Jungle Boy rose one spot into #2. The sudden peak of Christian combined with JB’s jealous eyes last week lead me to believe a challenge between the two will be popping off in the near future.
Women:

Thunder Rosa passed by Tay Conti into #2. Thunder earned a win over KiLynn King on Dark. If Dr. Britt Baker DMD successfully defends the AEW Women’s World Championship tonight against Nyla Rose, then it would not be surprising to hear Thunder Rosa’s music afterward to set up the next challenger.
