AEW Dynamite breaks one million viewers despite NBA Finals

AEW on Twitter

After AEW Dynamite was displaced out if its Wednesday time slot for five consecutive weeks in May and June, it’s only taken three episodes back on its regular schedule to reach one million viewers again.

Per WrestleNomics’ Brandon Thurston, last night’s (July 14) Dynamite brought in an hourly average audience of 1,025,000 viewers, with a 0.40 rating in the key 18 to 49 year old demographic. That’s a significant increase compared to last week’s 871K / 0.33.

Game 4 of the NBA Finals wasn’t enough to keep AEW’s numbers from thriving on night one of Fyter Fest. Jon Moxley’s return and Darby Allin’s main event Coffin match were among the biggest attractions advertised for the card. These are the kind of results that will keep getting Darby Allin booked in more main event matches.

And that demo rating of 0.40 is awfully close to the 0.43 that Raw scored earlier this week...

Here’s a breakdown of AEW viewership and rating in the 18-49 demo over the last year:
