The First Labour of Jericho added to Fyter Fest Night Two card

Fite’s Twitter

Last week, Chris Jericho agreed to MJF’s stipulation for another match between the two.

It’s actually a series of stipulations, styled on the Twelve Labors of Hercules from Greek mythology. In this case there are five matches of MJF’s choosing Jericho has to win to earn a one-on-one match with his old song-and-dance partner. And since Le Champion is from Winnipeg (you idiots), AEW is spelling it “Labours”.

Anyway, the first Labour of Jericho was revealed tonight (July 14) at Night One of Fyter Fest in Austin. The reveal was painful for Chris, as Shawn Spears and MJF crashed his fiery backstage promo, attacking him with a chair, and informing him he’ll face Spears next week. And The Chairman can use chairs in the match, but Jericho can’t.

So Jericho starts what will already be an uphill climb after Spears took a shot at the arm he injured when MJF shoved him off the cage at Blood & Guts.

That match joins this card for July 21’s Fyter Fest Night Two in the Dallas suburb of Garland, with a Women’s title match announced last week, and an IWGP U.S. title bout set-up elsewhere on tonight’s show.

- Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. (c) vs. Nyla Rose for the AEW Women’s World championship

- Lance Archer vs. John Moxley (c) in a Texas Death Match for the IWGP United States title

- Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Spears

- Orange Cassidy vs. The Blade
