Malakai Black wants to put Cody Rhodes down like an old horse

AEW’s Twitter

In his surprise debut last week (July 7), the former Tommy End announced his presence with authority by kicking the heads off Arn Anderson and Cody Rhodes.

At this week’s Fyter Fest Night One, Rhodes came looking for payback against the man now calling himself Malakai Black. At first, what he got was a promo from the ‘tron where Black told a story about a man he once saw kill a horse because he no longer saw fire in its eyes.

It was a little too on the nose for my taste, but AEW knew when to cut it off. Rhodes dared Black to come look him in the eyes tonight, the lights went out, and both men were in the ring for a pull apart brawl.

The Austin crowd definitely wanted more, but this was just an appetizer for the inevitable match between these two.
