The IWGP U.S. champion is not bald

AEW’s Twitter

Jon Moxley returned to Dynamite for the first time since the birth of his daughter on July 14, and AEW didn’t waste any time playing “Wild Thing” and getting him into the ring.

That meant we got an immediate look at Moxley’s new haircut, and... sadly, his hair grows pretty fast. The Death Rider’s do is shorn short, but it’s not the cue ball some were imagining. Alas.

Anyway, the IWGP United States title match between Mox and Karl Anderson at night one of Fyter Fest in Austin was the proverbial slobberknocker from the bell - and not just for the champ and challenger. Eddie Kingston wasted no time attacking Doc Gallows, and those two brawled into the packed seats as the men in the ring exchanged stiff shots.

Machine Gun put up a hell of a fight, and left the champ bloody. But when the Gun Stun didn’t put Mox away, Anderson went for one off the top. Mox had that scouted, and it wasn’t long before a Paradigm Shift ended it.

With that, Moxley has once again retained the IWGP U.S. championship. And next Wednesday, he’ll get a chance to do it again against the man he beat for the belt back at Wrestle Kingdom 14 - in a Texas Death Match!
