AEW DYNAMITE RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR JUNE 4

Helping one another, just a righteous brother. Night time, get me back in the night time, I don’t want to be angel, just a little bit evil, I feel the devil in me. Holy, holy, hold on to anyone while I liveblog my second pro wrestling show of the evening for you, folks.

The show opens with the intro video.

Death Triangle (PAC & Penta el Zero M) vs. Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson)

Frankie Kazarian attacks Michael Nakazawa during entrances and the Good Brothers run him off!

Death Triangle boot the Bucks off the apron and follow it up with stereo tope con giros! Back and forth on the floor, no bell yet, finally we get in the bell and start the match with PAC on Matt. Big right hand from the Bastard, smashing his face into the turnbuckles, front chancery, tag to Penta, whip across, duck a lariat, roll-through, stepover Lotus Lock pin but Nick breaks it up!

Bucks gain control, beating PAC down on the floor, back inside and the Bastard turns Matt inside out with a lariat! The Bucks take Penta off the apron, PAC blasts Nick with a boot but gets taken down with a spear from Matt! Jackson fired up, Penta back on the apron, the Bastard with a German suplex and the tag! Sling Blades for everybody, Codebreaker to Matt is also a senton to Nick!

Cero Miedo, whip across, lungblower, back and forth, tag to PAC! Rolling solebutts, Matt fires a forearm back, the Bastard pops him up into a Liger Bomb... NOPE! Death Triangle with a missile dropkick to the taint, superkicks take Nick out, slip out of the package piledriver, standing switches, Penta hits the flip piledriver but Nick goes into the corner for a tag!

Flip piledriver of his own, back body drop puts PAC on the apron, low bridge, hammering forearms, Penta hits a Fear Factor on Matt and Nick hits a German suplex on PAC! Referee Rick Knox distracted, Penta kicks Nick in the gentleman’s area, Fear Factor connects, tag to the Bastard, off the top... MATT JACKSON BREAKS IT UP! Folding press...

Young Bucks win by pinfall with a folding press from Nick Jackson on PAC.

Post-match, the Bucks attack Penta, tearing at his mask before setting up the BTE Trigger... EDDIE KINGSTON MAKES THE SAVE!

Commentary informs us that we’ll hear from Mark Henry, after the break.

Back from commercial, Tony Schiavone is in the ring to introduce the World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry.

He says he’s not here to fix AEW because it’s not broken, he’s just here to turn the screws. Tony asks him if he’s gonna wrestle, and he says right now he’s not gonna say yes, but he’s got a lot left in the tank!

Enter Vickie Guerrero.

She tells them both to get the hell out of her ring and they oblige.

She’s here to introduce a man who’s won championships around the world, a third-generation wrestler... ANDRADE EL IDOLO! HE’S HERE!

He gets on the mic and says he used to say that he’s the face of latinos, but today he’s saying he will be the new face of All Elite Wrestling!

And so we go to break.

Nightmare Family (Cody Rhodes & Lee Johnson) vs. the Factory (Anthony Ogogo & QT Marshall)

Back and forth, feeling out, Johnson takes Marshall out with a lariat and all fired up, QT passes him to the floor but he skins the cat into a headscissors to the floor! Plancha sidestepped, Ogogo stomps Lee to the floor! Back inside the Factory work Johnson over and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Johnson creates some separation and makes the tag! Rhodes immediately starts brawling with Marshall on the ramp, returning him to the ring, neckbreaker drop, vertical suplex, corner punches into the monkey flip! Kick to the midsection, drop down slap, QT with a back suplex, Rhodes lands on his feet, kick Ogogo off the apron, snap scoop powerslam on Marshall!

Figure four applied in the middle of the ring, Ogogo hits the ring and breaks it up with a frog splash! QT hits the Diamond Cutter... LEE JOHNSON BREAKS IT UP WITH A DIVE! Anthony and Lee spill to the floor, a dazed Cody gets to his feet, QT right behind him, trading right hands! Aaron Solow runs interference, Ogogo with a cheap shot...

The Factory win by pinfall with a lateral press from QT Marshall on Cody Rhodes.

Post-match, Marshall gets on the mic and says he told us all he could do it and he did it.

We get a recap of Stadium Stampede and the Inner Circle make their entrance.

Chris Jericho gets on the mic and thanks everyone for their support before informing that the whole crowd is getting a Stadium Stampede t-shirt for free! The reason the Inner Circle is together and here tonight is Sammy Guevara, he says, and Sammy takes a moment to shine. Santana asks what they really accomplished aside from keeping their crew together, because they still have to deal with the Pinnacle and the real accomplishment would be leaving them lying in a ditch on the side of I95 somewhere.

Jake Hager tells them to man up and take their asswhippings again until they say it’s over, and he’s gonna pull Wardlow’s man card first? What does that mean? Ah, he clarifies and challenges Wardlow to an MMA cage fight in two weeks. Boys are weird.

Anyway, Jericho says he gets pissed off when he thinks about MJF and Sammy must feel the same but the difference is Friedman tried to end his career and possibly his life, and he’s never been the same since. He must settle the score, and nothing they’ve done has been enough, not until he ruins Max’s career and life the way he tried to ruin his.

Maxwell Jacob Friedman calls him the GOAT, and if he’s as good as he thinks he is, if he’s gonna build AEW to be the greatest wrestling company in the world, he must, will, and is going to beat MJF. The Inner Circle never forgives and never forgets.

And so we go to break.

We get a Best Friends vignette where they accuse Kenny Omega of cheating Orange out of a victory and promise that it’s not over.

Cut to Don Callis and Kenny Omega editing a highlight package when an interview rolls up.

They blow off the Best Friends stuff and suggest that Jungle Boy didn’t really earn his title shot and he’s no Jungle Man or Jungle Champion. He’s a fun guy to cheer for and Kenny loves his music, and he even sings a few bars.

Christian Cage & “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry vs. Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen)

Cage and Kassidy to start, Christian with an arm wringer and a tag to Perry. Axehandle, arm wringer, quick tag back to Cage. Quen comes in but the babyface team cuts him off with a flapjack and a double arm drag. Marq with a jawbreaker, arm wringer, Private Party turning the tide! Jungle Boy with a double arm drag for separation, to the floor, back elbow, enzuigiri, up top but Isiah cuts him off.

Perch, Quen cuts him out of midair with a dropkick! Jack gets the tag, Christian cuts Kassidy down with an elbow, choke over the ropes, slingshot to the floor for a right hand! Back in, off the second with a corkscrew uppercut, Isiah cuts him off with a kick to the gut, ram into the corner, Cage fights out and traps Kassidy in the corner for mounted punches!

Referee Aubrey Edwards distracted, Quen with the cheap shot and we go to break!

Back from commercial and Private Party are still in control and working Cage over. A little Five Second Pose action, stomping away, more mockery and Christian drops them with a double inverted DDT! Perry with the hot tag, elbows for everybody, brainbuster on Quen... NOPE! Tornado DDT follows, still no! The match breaks down, Kassidy sidesteps a plancha and Christian goes sprawling!

Marq with a thumb to the eyes and a schoolboy with a handful of tights... JUNGLE BOY KICKS OUT! Gin & Juice blocked, Perry with a Tombstone out of the corner, Snare Trap...

Christian Cage & “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry win by submission with the Snare Trap from Jungle Boy on Marq Quen.

Post-match, Matt Hardy hits a Twist of Fate on Christian on the ramp! Jungle Boy runs him off!

We get a video package from Team Taz about the events of Double or Nothing, Taz challenging Hangman to a tag team match, a partner of his choice against Brian Cage and “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs.

Tony Schiavone introduces Darby Allin and Sting.

Sting takes the mic from him and says he’s had many incredible experiences in wrestling but Double or Nothing will be a night that he never ever forgets and he says it stands up to anything he’s done in this business. (Well I dunno about that Steve but okay, sure.) He thanks everyone and Scorpio Sky pops up slow clapping on the tron with “All Ego” Ethan Page right behind him.

Sky congratulates him and says he knows why they call him the Icon now. He even smells good! He was so good he even dragged Darby Allin over the finish line, and Page says if it wasn’t for Sting, Darby would still be laying in the crowd where he threw him to. He calls Allin a spineless codependent bitch, and Scorpio challenges Darby to go find a tag partner that isn’t Sting to prove them wrong.

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, a motley assortment of heels (the Wingmen, Vickie Guerrero’s stable, Chaos Project, and TH2) are in the ring together to celebrate Dr. Britt Baker, DMD’s AEW Women’s World Championship victory at Double or Nothing.

She makes her entrance and says everybody got freebies tonight but she’s gonna one-up Chris Jericho because she was gifted burger coupons to celebrate her win and everybody has one taped to the bottom of their seat! Except wait they’re all with her in the ring where they belong because she did the work and no one was along for the ride with her from day one.

She says DMD are the three letters that are going to take this company to a new level before inviting the two people who were along for the ride with her to toast burgers with her, Rebel and Tony Schiavone. They’re about to toast when Nyla smacks the burgers out of their hands and throws the rest to the crowd!

Eddie Kingston is interviewed backstage.

Before he can answer, Death Triangle roll up to tell him they don’t want nor need his help and to keep his nose out of their business. Eddie says he’s gonna keep it nice and simple and sweet, the enemy of his enemy is his friend and they should let that marinate in their brains.

Red Velvet vs. The Bunny

Velvet hot out the gates, nearly winning with a standing moonsault! Bunny to the floor, Red with a tope con giro that goes wild but wipes her out! Back inside, Velvet pressing the attack, up top but Bunny cuts her off with a superkick and follows with a second to the jaw that sends her crashing to the floor! Back inside, sliding forearm hammers her and we go to break.

Back inside, Velvet has recovered, laying Bunny out with a kick! Corner knee, running Stunner... NOPE! Off the ropes, cut off with a superkick, the Blade slips the Bunny a set of knucks, Red ducks the shot...

Red Velvet wins by pinfall with Just Desserts.

Commentary hypes up our next couple weeks of matches, including Miro vs. Uno, next week.

Dustin Rhodes makes his entrance to send us to break.

Dustin Rhodes vs. Nick Comoroto (Bullrope Match)

Comoroto getting in and brawling before he can even have the rope put on his wrist! Military press sends Rhodes flying into the ring and referee Paul Turner calms him down long enough to get the rope on his wrist! Dustin trips him up and crotches him on the rope, gets put on the apron and Nick chokes him with the rope!

Rhodes fights back with the bell, back inside, off the ropes, crossbody but Comoroto catches him and he slips out! Cactus Clothesline sends both guys to the floor, Nick back body drops him into the crowd and Dustin chokes him with the ropes! Nick brutalizes him, Fuego del Sol comes to help Rhodes and Comoroto press slams him into the crowd!

Nick busted open with the bell, fired up, beating Rhodes down on the floor and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Comoroto and Rhodes fighting on the apron while Aaron Solow sets up a table. Nick sidesteps a boot and grabs him... POWERBOMB THROUGH THE TABLE! Back inside, Solow takes a turnbuckle pad off but Colten Gunn makes the save and brawls with him on the floor! Turning bulldog into the Final Cut, lariat, flapjack into the exposed turnbuckle!

Rhodes up top...

Dustin Rhodes wins by pinfall with a diving bulldog.

Dustin goes and celebrates in the crowd.

That’s the show, folks.
