Fake MMA cage fights are best for business

AEW Dynamite has been struggling through its Friday late night time slot throughout June due to the NBA playoffs wreaking havoc on their television schedule.

However, per F4WOnline, the June 18 episode of Dynamite scored AEW’s best numbers so far in the time slot this month, drawing an audience of 551,000 viewers and a 0.20 in the coveted 18-to-49 year old demographic. The MMA Rules Cage Fight that opened the show between Jake Hager and Wardlow was said to be the big hit of the night.

AEW is done with the Friday time slot for now, with the next episode of Dynamite airing live this Saturday, June 26, at 8 pm ET. Jungle Boy will challenge Kenny Omega for the AEW world heavyweight championship.
