We don’t have a release date yet for AEW’s upcoming video game, but we do know that AEW is putting a boatload of money into the project.
There’s been a lot of talk and hype so far from Kenny Omega and the rest of the people involved in creating the game. On the newest episode of 2.Show, Omega narrated a very brief section that included the following gameplay footage of Darby Allin’s character model and Coffin Drop:

I really hope that generic green wrestler getting smashed by Darby isn’t supposed to be Luchasaurus.
When AEW revealed last year that a console video game was on the way, they specifically cited Nintendo 64’s critically acclaimed WWF No Mercy game as a major influence behind the project.
Do you get that No Mercy vibe at all from the Darby Allin snippet included above? If not, what do you think of the gameplay footage that was released?
