AEW DYNAMITE RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR JUNE 11

I was justified when I was five, raising Cain, I spit in your eye. Times are changing, now the poor get fat, but the fever’s gonna catch you when the bitch gets back and I liveblog my second pro wrestling show of the evening, folks.

The show opens with the Pinnacle arriving at the venue in a limousine.

Matt Hardy is in the ring with TH2 and he calls Christian Cage out. He says Angelico is going to use his wisdom and experience to end Cage’s career and he’ll never recover from this financially.

Angelico vs. Christian Cage

Cage with a side headlock, to the mat, Angelico reverses to a wristlock, Christian reverses to one of his own. Angelico with an arm drag reversal, Cage with a big right hand, mounted punches in the corner, countered to an arm drag. Angelico in control, looking for the Navarro Death Roll but Christian blocks!

Penalty Kick to the shoulder, double knuckle locks, stepover, sort of a modified Sol Naciente! Cage gets away, up in the corner, inverted tornado DDT! Palm strikes, whip reversed, missile dropkick, choking Angelico in the ropes! Snapping him over the top rope, diving headbutt follows... NO GOOD!

Angelico with a dive, boots up to block, inside cradle... SO CLOSE! Enzuigiri into a jackknife pin, only two! Looking for some kind of short-arm maneuver, meeting of the minds and both guys crumble! Corner kick, diving uppercut, underhooks...

Christian Cage wins by pinfall with the Killswitch.

Post-match, Jack Evans and Matt Hardy attack Christian! Twist of Fate connects! Thinking Ice Pick but Jungle Boy makes the save!

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial we get some hype for Dynamite’s road schedule.

Tony Schiavone is in the ring and talking about next week, where Aaron Solow will team with QT Marshall against Cody Rhodes and his partner, making his AEW debut, Arn Anderson’s son Brock Anderson!

Cody says Brock wasn’t born on third base, he’s gonna steal home plate and hit a home run every time out. And he wouldn’t mind a modicum of revenge considering that last week he was beaten by Anthony Ogogo.

This brings QT out to take issue with Rhodes and his vanity projects. Does Brock want pyro too or maybe just bring him right down from the ceiling. He accuses Cody of skipping guys like Comoroto and Solow and says what makes him Cody Rhodes is the fans.

Not the IWC, the actual paying customer, and he wants to challenge Cody to a South Beach Strap Match next week! Cody’s willing to fight right now, QT takes Arn out with a cheap shot, Brock takes Marshall down and beats him down until referees intervene!

Death Triangle (PAC & Penta el Zero M) & Eddie Kingston vs. the Elite (Brandon Cutler, Matt Jackson, & Nick Jackson)

PAC and Matt to start, the Bastard sends Jackson staggering and he tags Cutler in! PAC in control, tagging Penta in and deliberately snubbing Kingston. Penta with a missile dropkick to the taint, Eddie gets his tag, snapmare into a double stomp... NOPE!

They keep working Brandon over with quick tags, the match breaks down and the Bucks clear the ring! Kingston throws a chair in the ring and we go to break.

Back from commercial, the Bucks have PAC isolated but he back body drops Nick to the floor and boots Matt in the face! Matt gets him in the corner, tornado DDT blocked! The Bastard looking for the tag, rolling solebutt to Cutler... KINGSTON IS LEGAL! Eddie cleaning house, belly-to-belly suplex on Matt, exploder for Nick, tag to Penta!

Diving crossbody, Cutler eats a superkick party from his own friends, Penta with a flip piledriver on Matt! Hamstring kick to Nick, Cero Miedo, off the ropes, Brandon trips him up and Nick hits Cutler with a Penalty Kick off the apron! Lungblower from Penta, Here It Is Driver... BRANDON BREAKS IT UP! Death Triangle working Matt over, King blasts Cutler off the apron and blocks the Bucks!

Trading shots with Nick, whip, duck the lariat, rebound lariat from Jackson! Penta with a kick to the gut, arm drag... STEP-UP TOPE CON GIRO! PAC off the top, 450 splash into the Brutalizer... NICK JACKSON TRIES TO BREAK IT UP BUT THE BASTARD WON’T LET GO!

Kingston with an enzuigiri, PAC breaks the hold, Eddie asks him to work together, off the ropes... STEREO DIVES! Matt with a schoolboy and a handful of tights... THE BASTARD KICKS OUT! Kick combo, Nick cuts him off with an enzuigiri, setting him up... CORNER BUCKLE BOMB / ENZUIGIRIS! Body slam, tag to Cutler, nobody home on the elbow drop!

Backfist to the Future, PAC with the cover...

Death Triangle & Eddie Kingston win by pinfall with a lateral press from PAC on Brandon Cutler.

Post-match, the Bucks put boots to the babyfaces and the Good Brothers come down to join in the fun. Kazarian makes the save and runs the Elite off!

We get the Kenny Omega / Orange Cassidy video package that he and Don Callis edited to send us to break.

Back from commercial, the Pinnacle make their entrance.

Dax Harwood gets on the mic and admits they lost but Stadium Stampede wasn’t designed for them and Proud-N-Powerful gave them a hell of a fight and made them realize they’re not so different. They both came from nothing and made something of themselves, but Ortiz and Santana lost their edge.

Shawn Spears calls Sammy Guevara out as a glorified indie wrestler and says he’s the hero. Wardlow says he brings out the best in Jake Hager and he gets it, he wants to keep this going and he invites him to his comfort zone because he knows he can’t win in the ring?

Hager’s gonna find out it doesn’t matter where, when you stand across from Mr. Mayhem, you’re always in Wardlow’s world, and he accepts the challenge. Maxwell Jacob Friedman says he’s tired and talks about how he idolized Chris Jericho, but he idolized a false god who was just like everyone else and not even remotely on his level.

Chris appears on the tron and says his little soliloquy was great and he can brag about it all night while he’s walking home. The camera pans to reveal the Inner Circle holding sledgehammers and they smash the limousine up! Jake Hager has a forklift... AND HE RAMS THE SIDE OF THE LIMO, LIFTING IT UNTIL THE DOORS FALL OFF!

They drive off and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Darby Allin and Sting respond to “All Ego” Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky’s challenge. Allin says he’s not replacing Sting and he wants a handicap match, and he asks Sting to respect his wishes and stay home. He says he’s not stupid and he wants to prove to both of them that he doesn’t need Sting.

Sting says he’s got nothing to prove and he’s who he is because he’s Darby, not because of Sting. Allin asks him again and Sting agrees, offering a fist bump. Darby hesitates and tells Sting how much he respects him before accepting the bump.

Evil Uno gets a video package talking about how much winning the TNT Championship would mean to him, both because of his relationship with the late, great Brodie Lee and because of the road he’s taken to AEW.

Evil Uno vs. Miro (c) (AEW TNT Championship)

Circling, collar and elbow and Miro rams him into the corner, breaking dirty with a shove! Back to the lockup, go-behind into a waistlock takedown, Miro with the ride, front chancery applied. Scoop and a slam, front kick, right hand, hammering Uno with punches but Evil slips out of a second slam and fires chops off. Miro shrugs them off, low bridge and Uno puts boots to him to cut him off on his return!

Leg pick, the Bulgarian Lion pulls him outside but Evil ducks and he punches the post! Cannonball off the apron, Uno fired up, back inside, back elbow connects! Boot up, to the second, Miro pulls him down into a Saito Suplex to send us to break!

Back from commercial, Miro is in control and fending off interference from Stu Grayson and Alan Angels! Back in the ring Uno with a jawbreaker, right hands, Miro shoves him off, duck the lariat, tijeras, hammering him with lariats and a big boot to knock him down!

Uno off the top, senton atomico... NOPE! The Dark Order all come to the stage, -1 returning to Dynamite so presumably he’s got his grades back in order! Uno stomps Miro’s hands, off the ropes, crossbody caught, jockeying for position, O’Connor roll for two but Evil puts him into an exposed turnbuckle when he kicks out!

Cover... STILL NO! Discus lariat, Miro shrugs it off and drops him with a lariat of his own! Pick the leg, stomp the back... Game Over! Miro falls back...

Miro wins by submission with Game Over to retain the AEW TNT Championship.

We get an Andrade vignette positioning him as the face of Latinos and promising a sitdown interview with Jim Ross next week.

Tony Schiavone is in the ring and he introduces Kenny Omega.

He runs Omega down for belittling Jungle Boy but Don Callis yanks the mic away and demands some respect for the champ. Don tells Jungle Boy he did a great job earning a title shot, but to them he’s just like the band that sings his theme, a one-hit wonder.

Kenny puts over Jungle Boy’s “underwear model-esque body” and says he sees a lot of himself in him and respects him quite a bit but there’s something missing that he can’t quite put his finger on. He passes the mic to Callis to answer that question, to which he says “the guts to get in the ring.”

Enter “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry.

Omega says he looks like he’s got something to say, but he doesn’t have the guts, and what can he even do standing in front of a wrestling god. He asks Don who’s better on the mic than him before giving Jungle Boy five seconds to say what he’s got. Perry grabs the mic and tells him he talks way too much.

They start brawling... JUNGLE BOY NEARLY HAS HIM IN THE SNARE TRAP WHEN THE YOUNG BUCKS MAKE THE SAVE!

“Smart” Mark Sterling is in a room with Jade Cargill.

He talks her up and says they’re gonna make her a household name across all media and puts her catchphrase “I’m that bitch” over.

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, “All Ego” Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky get a promo.

Sky tells Darby they gave him an opportunity and just like the sensitive child he is, he couldn’t even do that. Allin’s done a lot of dumb things, but this is the dumbest. All Ego says actions have consequences, and Darby already knows the consequences of stepping in the ring with them, but has he really considered the mental consequences?

He’s already butthurt enough to accept a handicap match against them, but bit by bit they’re gonna cut him down and raise themselves up as the Men of the Year.

Chandler Hopkins vs. Lance Archer

It’s a squash...

Lance Archer wins by pinfall with Blackout.

We see the Wingmen backstage.

Ryan Nemeth calls Orange Cassidy out and they give him a spot in the Wingman Makeover Program, and Cezar Bononi promises to rearrange his face.

Leyla Hirsch vs. Nyla Rose

Rose in control early, Hirsch reverses a body slam into a cross armbar but Nyla gets the ropes! Action to the floor, Rose regains control by catching a dive and ramming Leyla into the apron! Hirsh posts her arm, looking for an armbar on the floor but Nyla deadlifts her and rams her into the barricade!

Back inside, stepping on her throat, whip across into a body avalanche and a knee drop to the shoulder! Cover for two, trapezius claw applied and we go to break!

Back from commercial, Hirsch with a nearfall off a victory roll! Waistlock, Rose slings her through the ropes, shoulder block, Leyla up and over, German suplex! Sliding knee, springboard moonsault... NYLA GETS THE ROPES! Stomps to the arm, cross armbar applied but Rose deadlift powerbombs her as a counter!

Hanging Hirsch over the ropes, Nyla wants the knee drop but Leyla recovers and they jockey for position in the turnbuckles... AVALANCHE FRANKENSTEINER REVERSED INTO AN AVALANCHE BEAST BOMB!

Nyla Rose wins by pinfall with the avalanche Beast Bomb.

Tony Schiavone interviews Dr. Britt Baker, DMD in a stairwell.

She says she was frickin’ furious with Nyla Rose for breaking up her celebration but then she took a deep breath and realized that Nyla looked quite good flipping burgers so maybe she should look into a new line of work. She runs her down for making short jokes about Leyla and says this title makes Nyla but she makes this title.

Commentary hypes up our announced matches for the next couple weeks and we go to break.

“Hangman” Adam Page & Preston “10” Vance vs. Team Taz (Brian Cage & “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs)

Page and Cage to start, Brian putting him in the corner for shoulder thrusts! Whip across, blocked, right hands and referee Bryce Remsburg has to pull Adam away! Pumphandle, Page floats over, leg trip, standing shooting star press... SO CLOSE!

Cage with a side headlock, scraping Hangman’s face along the top rope, whip, elbow cuts him off, Vance with a blind tag and he comes in hot with forearms! Whip across, cutting Preston off, tag to Hobbs. Double powerbomb... NOPE! Rear chinlock applied in the ropes, Remsburg admonishing him!

Whip across, kitchen sink kneelift, and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Vance and Cage trading blows, rolling elbow from 10 staggers the Machine and creates an opening but he blasts Hangman off the apron! Jockeying for position and Preston lands a pump kick that sends Brian crashing into a blind tag! Hobbs gets clobbered and 10 tags out! Pump kick knocks Cage off the apron, duck a lariat, one of his own but Will shrugs it off!

Scoop blocked, off the ropes, boot, plancha to Cage, he catches him, Frankensteiner puts Brian into the post! Back in, moonsault takes Hobbs down... BUT CAN’T WIN HIM THE MATCH! Back elbow, off the ropes, freight train crossbody... VANCE BREAKS IT UP! Cage with a Tiger feint kick, Page with the triangle lariat, right hand... too close to the ropes!

Tag back to 10, big thrust spinebuster, fired up, full nelson blocked, tag to Cage. Elbow to Page, enzuigiri to Vance, German suplex, high/low... NOT ENOUGH! Hook runs interference, Ricky Starks throws the FTW belt to Cage but he tosses it out of the ring! Ricky berates him and slaps Brian across the face! Cage chases Starks to the back, Preston gets the full nelson momentarily but Hobbs hits a spinebuster... HANGMAN BREAKS IT UP!

The match breaks down, Hangman hits Buckshot...

“Hangman” Adam Page & Preston “10” Vance win by pinfall with a lateral press from Vance on “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs.

Post-match, Page celebrates with the Dark Order.

That’s the show, folks.
