During Double or Nothing, AEW laid out some matches for the next two weeks of Dynamite. One of them was decided on the PPV, and others follow from action that happened in Daily’s Place last night (May 30).
The big one is the World title clash between Kenny Omega, who retained his championship by dastardly means once again, and Jungle Boy, who won the Casino Battle Royal for the shot. That match will take place in two weeks. No day of the week was specified, but word is AEW will be pre-empted by the NBA playoffs again, so figure Fri., June 11 or Sat., June 12.
We know much more of what’s in store for us this week, a show that is definitely airing Fri., June 4 at 10 p.m. ET. None of these was directly booked on the Sunday show, but they all make sense based on what happened there.
PAC is surely not happy with anyone in The Elite after all the ways they got involved in his Double or Nothing Triple Threat with Omega & Orange Cassidy, so he’ll enjoy teaming with his Death Triangle mate Penta El Zero M against The Young Bucks in non-title action.
New Women’s champ Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. will celebrate her win over Hikaru Shida. Then we get two matches continuing the Nightmare Family vs. Factory feud after Cody Rhodes beat Anthony Ogogo last night. Rhodes and Ogogo will renew acquaintances in a tag match, as Cody is joined by Lee Johnson to face The Guv’nor & QT Marshall. And after Nick Coromoto blasted Dustin Rhodes with his own cowbell in the Battle Royale, the two will face off in a Bullrope match.
Sound worth staying in on some Friday (or Saturday) nights for?
