Cody Rhodes took on his father’s American Dream name for Double or Nothing. And if that and the red, white and blue ring gear the Grandson of a Plumber entered with didn’t tell you something... maybe a Memorial Day tribute to the U.S. Military before the match did.
His opponent, British Olympic boxer Anthony Ogogo, got a nice spotlight first. And it wasn’t just the power game he’s shown off in his other two wins, either. There were punches, sure, but we also saw the bigger man show off a big Frog Splash.
.@AnthonyOgogo soars for the frog splash! #AEWDoN #DoubleOrNothing

And if the newcomer new the rules a little better, he might of won! Ogogo had Rhodes looking at the lights after two punches, but his hand was under the ropes.

It wasn’t long after that that Rhodes got him up for the Vertebreaker, and the American Dream celebrated a win with his fellow Americans.
