I think Miro is planning to murder the entire AEW roster

AEW on Twitter

After a very rough start in AEW, Miro is now firing on all cylinders.

During an interview with the New York Post, the new TNT champion explained that his willingness to always go along with someone else’s silly idea has held him back in pro wrestling, but this is finally the real Miro that you see on Dynamite each week:

“In wrestling, it’s full of crap characters who come out there and try to be something they’re not and that’s not how this thing works. You have to draw emotion from within yourself. You got to be yourself, you got to represent what you believe in...”

“I always knew I’m good. This is the problem with me, I’m good at everything. So if you give me something, I’ll make it the best (of it) and that’s the problem. I won’t be happy until I’m the talk of the whole business, of course. But somewhere along the lines, and this is going to tie it into it, I kept saying yes. I became this circus bear. I was a killer. I came in 2013-14 (to NXT) and killed everybody and then they gave me a little bit of something else. I showed how good I was at that, too. I became like a circus bear. The more I said yes, the more crap I have to eat. I said yes to the wedding and yes to the dancing and yes to this and that, but that’s not who I am, man.

You have to go through these moments until you finally reach your destination. I wouldn’t change a single step. I’ll take the weddings. I’ll take everything because it leads me to my destination and now being the TNT champion.”

Looking ahead to his TNT title defense against Lance Archer on May 30 at Double or Nothing, Miro explained that the main thing he sees with the Murderhawk Monster is a guy who lost against Cody Rhodes one year ago:

“Look, Lance is big. Lance is strong. He told me a really sad story that he and Cody [Rhodes] went 20 minutes (for the TNT championship) two years ago, blah, blah. Good for you. At the end of the day, you lost.”

Miro didn’t stop there, however. He also delivered some quality trash talk in the direction of AEW world champion Kenny Omega:

“We all know there is a greasy champion out there. He calls himself a belt collector. Ha. He’s got all these titles from all these countries but there’s only one problem. I have this one piece, one title that [AEW Champion] Kenny [Omega] doesn’t have. And let me tell you, I would love nothing more than for him to fool himself into thinking he can take it from me. This is the one guy that I’ve been wanting. This is the one guy that I’ve been studying and I cannot wait until he thinks it’s a possibility.”

Finally, Miro explained the real reason why he set up a private screening of the Mortal Kombat movie for the AEW locker room. As the new guy on the roster, he was just trying to gather information about how to take them all down in the future:

“I’m trying to get to know everybody. Once you get to know them, you get to know all their weaknesses. You get to know their weakness, this is all you need to know. But also I love the movie and I’ve been a Mortal Kombat fan since the first game came out and Warner Brothers contacted me. I have a great relationship with them and a whole bunch of movie theaters. They gave me the opportunity and I said, ‘Why not?’ So we set up two theaters, one for myself and one for everybody else.”

It sounds to me like Miro is planning to commit Fatalities on every wrestler on the AEW roster, not just Darby Allin.

How much are you enjoying Miro’s current run in AEW?
