Omega & Callis make Orange Cassidy an offer he can (slowly) refuse

Whether it was an audible due to a legit injury, or a case of WWE-like booking, last week on Dynamite, Kenny Omega landed himself in a Triple Threat for his AEW World title against Orange Cassidy & PAC.

The Belt Collector doesn’t want to lose one of his belts in a match where he doesn’t need to factor in the decision. And as an AEW Executive Vice-President, he has a little more power than the average champ. On May 18, he used it to check on Cassidy... and try to solve his Triple Threat problem.

Orange got his bell rung by PAC last Wednesday. That’s the justification Kenny and his mentor Don Callis used to draw up a contract which allows Cassidy to face Omega in the future when he’s healthy. All he has to do is back out of the Double or Nothing threeway.

OC made it pretty clear what he though of the deal, as only he can.

But the champ thinks Cassidy may need a little time to think on it. So they left him with another copy, and are giving him until next Friday’s go home show to make a decision.

If last week’s finish and announcement was just done to cover for Orange’s injury, this could be a way to reverse it. We’ll see what they do.

Catch up on everything that happening on Dynamite tonight here.
