Darby Allin lost the TNT championship to Miro in the main event of last night’s (May 12) episode of AEW Dynamite.
Before anybody thinks too far ahead about Darby moving up to the world title picture from here, he made it clear in an emotional post-match promo that the TNT championship is the only belt he cares about:

“When I became TNT champion, I told everybody it was the only championship that meant anything to me. And I mean that 100 percent. People ask me, ‘When are you gonna win the big one? When are you gonna win the AEW heavyweight championship?’ And I look them dead in the eye and say, ‘I don’t need that shit. I need the TNT championship.’
I don’t need to collect any other belts from anywhere else in this world. I need the TNT championship. And I guarantee you, every single one of you here, this is not the last time I’m TNT champion. Thank you for all the support. It means the world to me.”
Dynamite ended with Lance Archer coming out to confront Miro, so it doesn’t look like Darby will get a TNT championship rematch right away. However, this promo makes it pretty clear that the TNT title is the only belt he’ll be gunning for in AEW, at least until plans change.
