Jon Moxley debuts wild new entrance music in epic clash with the legendary Yuji Nagata

Tonight’s (May 12) episode of AEW Dynamite kicked off with New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Yuji Nagata stepping through the Forbidden Door to challenge Jon Moxley for the IWGP United States championship. As a result of the global pandemic, this was only Moxley’s fourth defense of the title since winning it at NJPW’s WrestleKingdom 14 in January 2020.

Moxley made a splash right away by coming to the ring with some new entrance music - “Wild Thing” by The Troggs.

The match was the slugfest you’d expect from these two. But come on, there’s no way the champ was going to lose the title after coming to the ring with new music. Moxley put Nagata down with the Death Rider / Paradigm Shift.

Both warriors showed each other respect afterwards.

What did you think of Moxley vs. Nagata? Do you hope that Moxley’s new entrance music was more than a one-off?
