In an attempt to counter-program night one of NXT’s TakeOver: Stand & Deliver, AEW announced that Mike Tyson was appearing on tonight’s (Apr. 7) episode of Dynamite. Nothing specific was announced for Tyson, but considering their history, there was a pretty good chance it would involve Chris Jericho.
Earlier in the episode, Jericho announced the first ever Blood & Guts match will take place on May 5. Later on, Jericho was ambushed by MJF and The Pinnacle. The rest of the Inner Circle was locked in their dressing room, leaving Jericho vulnerable to a vicious 6-on-1 beatdown.
It was surely going to end in catastrophe for the leader of the Inner Circle. That is, until Iron Mike showed up.

Tyson entered the ring and beat the hell out of Shawn Spears, saving Jericho’s ass. He embraced Jericho and the Inner Circle afterwards, putting to rest all of their previous animosity.
