AEW Rankings (Apr. 7, 2021): Two top 5 debuts

AEW released their latest rankings (Apr. 7, 2021). Let’s check out the movers and shakers.

Men:

AEW

Max Caster is in, and PAC is out. Caster rocketed up to #3 after not being ranked last week. PAC’s inactivity due to injury sent him packing from #4. Jungle Boy moved down a spot to #4 to make room for Caster. This might be a one and done ranking for Caster’s singles debut in the top 5, since he has to compete against #1 Hangman Page tonight on Dynamite. Also on TNT, Darby Allin will defend the TNT title against JD Drake. The challenger signed an open contract to justify the match.

AEW has an odd trend of pushing new people into the #3 spot lately. Last week, Jungle Boy came out of nowhere straight into #3. Same for Caster this week. Who is your guess for next week?

At least Caster has been doing work against more than the ragtag crew of carpenters on the Dark shows. He holds wins over 10, Alex Reynolds, and Colt Cabana in the past five weeks. Credit to Caster for finding creative ways to cheat while also writing a diss rap about Hangman Page. Caster is a true renaissance man.

Women:

AEW

No changes for the women. Bunny will have a chance to rattle the rankings if she can defeat #1 Tay Conti in their match tonight.

Tag Team:

AEW

With John Silver on the shelf temporarily, the Dark Order tag team with Alex Reynolds dropped out from #4. Bear Country stepped in for their debut in the top 5. They will have their biggest challenge to date when the bears collide with #2 Jurassic Express in promotion of Godzilla vs. Kong.

Do you agree with AEW’s rankings this week? If not, what would you change?
