Tyson & Jericho land stiff shots for Inner Circle against The Pinnacle

MJF tried to bribe Mike Tyson with a blank check. Iron Mike ripped it up and ate it.

Chris Jericho spoke of his respect for and friendship with the boxing legend. But Tyson told the Inner Circle frontman he was going to play no favorites when Jericho went up against The Pinnacle’s Dax Harwood.

Tyson got an assist from referee Aubrey Edwards. Before the bell, she enforced the rule that only one member of each faction could be ringside. Sammy Guevara came out with Jericho. Tully Blanchard argued, but eventually left, leaving only Harwood’s FTR partner Cash Wheeler in his corner.

The former AEW World champ was the first to run afoul of Tyson. He went for a chair, and the special enforcer wasn’t having it.

The veteran controlled the early going nonetheless, but when Dax sent him shoulder first into the ringpost, he was able to even things up. This was a hard-hitting affair, and both men chopped each other’s chests red.

With a Liontamer locked in, Jericho seemed to have things well in hand. But Tyson and Guevara were slow to help when Wheeler punched Le Champeon to break the hold. By the time Jericho hit a Codebreaker, the rest of The Pinnacle and Inner Circle poured out from the back. That let Cash grab a bat, but Iron Mike was ready this time. He knocked Wheeler stiff.

In the ring. Jericho did the same to Harwood with Judas Effect.

Score one for Inner Circle heading into Blood & Guts on May 5. And welcome the group’s new ancillary member, Mike Tyson.
