New look Young Bucks show off their new heel attitude in Tag title defense

Young Bucks’ Twitter

The first Dynamite of the post-Wednesday Night War era opened with The Young Bucks explaining why they started picking up what Don Callis has been putting down. Then they came out for their AEW Tag title defense with Kenny Omega’s mentor, and sporting some slick new tassle-free duds.

During the early going of their clash with Rey Fenix & PAC, we saw a more grounded approach from Matt & Nick Jackson. Callis was on commentary, and made sure to emphasize this was a new approach from the newly heel Bucks.

Don’t worry, this is still what you’d expect from a title match between these four men.

A distraction put PAC in peril, then Matt & Nick used shortcuts as they worked him over with their Dior kicks.

The elder Jackson got a little too cocky, and it allowed Fenix to tag in. The champs survived the comeback, and all hell broke loose for the final stretch.

Matt was in trouble after taking a superplex, a Frog Splash AND the Black Arrow, but Nick tackled Fenix to break up the pin.

It got really filthy from there. The Bastard was sent to the floor with a low blow. Then Nick unmasked Rey. The proud luchador covered his face, and never saw the Dior Kick Party coming.

The dirty rotten Young Bucks are still your AEW Tag champions.
