Dare to look, face the test, on the eve when you set sailing. What you’ve learned, what you’ve earned, ship of joy will stop you failing. I can’t conceal it like I knew I did before. I got to tell you now, the ship is ready waiting on the shore, but me? I’m liveblogging this here pro wrestling show for you, folks.

The show opens with the Young Bucks cutting a promo about how they chose friendship and Don Callis was right when he said they changed, and they weren’t hungry anymore.

The intro video follows.

Mike Tyson cuts a promo backstage and Maxwell Jacob Friedman interrupts him early on.

He says his boys in the Pinnacle are peeved at him, Tyson says he’s mad at them too, and MJF tries to sell him on attacking Chris Jericho tonight, but Mike remains steadfast and tells him he’s his enemy. Friedman asks him to be on the right side of history, and whips out a blank check with his name on it, telling him to think about it.

Iron Mike snatches it out of his hands and tears it up!

Commentary hypes up tonight’s show.

Death Triangle (PAC & Rey Fenix) vs. Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) (c) (AEW World Tag Team Championship)

PAC and Matt to start, backing Jackson into the ropes and breaking cocky with a slap to the chest. Waistlock, go-behind, again, drop toehold, jockeying for position on the mat, Matt gets a front chancery out of it but the Bastard reverses to a wristlock. Kip-up, reversal, stalemate! Tags made, Nick with a waistlock, Fenix takes him down, off the ropes, boot up, Jackson to the apron, evade a Tiger feint kick, duck a crescent kick, neither man can land a strike!

The match breaks down, big dives, and now Death Triangle is in control. Hammering Matt with strikes, they turn the tide, tag to Nick, Penalty Kick off the apron takes PAC out and the slingshot X-Factor hits Rey hard! Double-teams keep him laid out, but PAC gets the hot tag and clears house! Chest kicks, Nick runs interference, Matt hits a slingshot dropkick and the Bucks put boots to the Bastard!

Fenix tries to make the save and gets beat down in turn... STEREO APRON POWERBOMBS! Corner knee, handspring back rake, and we go to commercial.

Back from commercial, Bucks in control, Matt a parody of his previous in-ring personal, comedically firing himself up, scoop and a slam, PAC gets away, tag to Fenix, double Ace Crusher... NOPE! Tag, superkick, Blue Thunder Driver... STILL NO! Rebound German suplex, Fenix takes Nick out with a tope con giro, Everest bridging German from the Bastard... MATT JACKSON WILL NOT STAY DOWN!

The match breaks down into “everybody do something cool territory”, Nick with a rebound flip piledriver on Fenix! Tired brawling, action to the floor, stereo Poison Frankensteiners leave only Fenix and Nick standing! He puts Rey over the barricade but he comes right back with an Ace Crusher on the floor! Back inside, PAC with the superplex, Fenix off the top, frog splash... NOT ENOUGH!

Tag back to the Bastard, perching... BLACK ARROW! FENIX HOLDS NICK BACK BUT HE SPILLS INTO THE PIN AND BREAKS IT UP! Jackson pulls his brother into the corner and makes the tag, running the distraction, low blow, Nick tears Fenix’s mask off! SUPERKICK PARTY! IT’S OVER!

Young Bucks win by pinfall with a Superkick Party on Rey Fenix to retain the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

Dark Order and “Hangman” Adam Page are interviewed backstage.

Page says it’s gonna be four to six weeks for John Silver’s shoulder and Alex Reynolds encourages Silver to do some rehab, to the applause of the rest of the Dark Order lads.

And so we go to break.

The Inner Circle and Mike Tyson are interviewed backstage.

Chris Jericho says he’s got a lot of respect for Tyson because he’s stayed relevant for 30 years and he can relate. Iron Mike says he’s gonna call it down the middle and wishes Chris luck.

Jade Cargill vs. Red Velvet

Velvet lights Cargill up with punches early, Jade gets away but Red nails her with a crescent kick! Action to the floor, Cargill gets back into it... FALLAWAY SLAM INTO THE CROWD! Jade happy to take the countout, counting her abs, Velvet back up on the apron, Cargill brings her in with a delayed sheerdrop brainbuster that sends us to break!

Anthony Ogogo vs. Cole Karter

Collar and elbow, Ogogo pushes him into the corner, dirty break with an overhand chop, waistlock, standing switch, Carter with a hip toss but Anthony wipes him out with a body blow and referee Paul Turner calls it!

Anthony Ogogo wins by referee stoppage with a body blow.

Back from commercial, we get a Miro video package where he says he’s been looking for Kip Sabian but now he’s moving on without him to fulfill his destiny of being champion.

Chris Jericho vs. Dax Harwood

Circling, right into Frye/Takayama punches, whip across, Jericho with a cross chop and a right hook that sends Harwood to the floor! Outside, Y2J gets a chair but Mike Tyson takes it away and Harwood nails him with a punch! He tries to high five Tyson but Mike ducks him and pulls him off of Chris! Slugging it out with forearms, off the ropes, Chris cuts him off with a lariat for two! Up top, jockeying for position, Dax gets under him... SLINGSHOT POWERBOMB CAN’T KEEP Y2J DOWN!

Walls of Jericho locked on, Sammy Guevara and Cash Wheeler get into it on the floor, whip across, Dax ducks the Judas Effect, brainbuster connects... JERICHO KICKS OUT! Chris hits a Codebreaker, slow to capitalize, MJF and the Pinnacle come to the stage but the Inner Circle are right behind them and a brawl breaks out! Wheeler takes advantage and lays Guevara out, he gets up on the apron with Floyd but Mike Tyson pulls him down and knocks him out!

Dax looking for a powerbomb, Jericho counters with a distraction from Guevara, back body drop...

Chris Jericho wins by pinfall with the Judas Effect.

Post-match, Jericho gets on the mic.

He wants to make it official, right here, right now (Van Halen is kicking ass in America?)— Mike Tyson is an anciliary member of the Inner Circle!

Kenny Omega, the Good Brothers, the Young Bucks, and Don Callis are interviewed on their way out of the building.

Callis yanks the mic away and says if the wrestling world has learned one thing about them, it’s that just when you think you’ve seen it all, you haven’t seen anything, because when the Young Bucks came back to the fold, it wasn’t the end of the story, but just the beginning. Kenny says listening to the interwebs, the podcasts, they ask why they changed, but they never changed, they just got sick of us wanting them to be just like us.

Don gets back on the mic and says we should be prepared to be surprised again, and he lays the camera operator out with a superkick!

And on that note, we go to break.

Back from commercial, we get a Thunder Rosa hype reel where she says she’s coming for both the AEW and NWA women’s titles.

Duck a lariat, arm drags from the alien, a boop to Amber! Block the reverse roundhouse, big elbow strike sends Nova flying, whip across, snap scoop powerslam!

Amber with forearms, a front kick, piefacing her, pulling her orange hankie out to try and wipe the alien makeup off but Statlander hits her with a press slam! Standing senton atomico, thumbs up to the rest of the Best Friends, lying in wait, running knee! Wheelbarrow...

All four Best Friends hug and high five.

Team Taz are interviewed backstage.

Ricky Starks complains about waiting for Christian Cage’s decision and Taz admits that it’s annoying but it’s best for him to stay backstage so they can lock Cage down, because Ricky’s a little hot-headed. Brian Cage agrees and Taz tells him he needs to stay backstage too, but promises that he, Hook, and Will Hobbs will take care of business.

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, Tony Schiavone interviews Christian Cage in the ring.

He says this is the first time he’s gotten to be interviewed by Tony and it’s a huge thrill. He’s out here in his gear and Tony Khan has given him an open contract and he’s gonna use it.

Enter Team Taz.

Taz demands to know if he’s in or out, and Cage says he was gonna do this later in private but he didn’t come here to fix his problems, he came here to win championships, and he’s glad he’s standing on those steps so he can say it face to face, the answer is no. Taz calls him a shitbag and says if he was standing on his wallet he’d be ten feet over his head.

He says this is the biggest mistake of his career and he never liked him or his stupid buddy that carried him. Will Hobbs hits the ring and beats Christian down, taking him to the floor and throwing him into the barricade! Military press drop, he takes Cage to the steps and smashes his face into them!

We get a video package hyping Hikaru Shida’s defense of the AEW Women’s World Championship against Tay Conti next week.

Commentary hypes up the rest of next week’s card and we go to break.

Right hands, grinding the chair into his midsection, spiking it, hangman’s neckbreaker... NOPE!

Opening the chair back up, he spikes Allin’s head into the seat, sliding his head through the back, Twist of Fate blocked and Darby waffles him with the chair! “Butcher” Andy Williams comes to ringside with a trash can and throws it at Allin, followed closely by “Blade” Pepper Parks and Private Party! They take advantage of the stipulation to beat the champion down, Butcher and Blade move the steps into position but the Dark Order and Sting come down to even the odds!

Darby beats Hardy up against the barricade and we go to break.

Back from commercial... HOLY HELL HARDY WHIPPED ALLIN INTO THE STEPS SO HARD HE BOUNCED OFF AND OVER THE BARRICADE! COVER ON THE FLOOR... NOPE! Lance Archer stops “All Ego” Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky from confronting Sting and does so himself! He pulls Isiah Kassidy up top... BLACKOUT RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE STINGER! Baseball bat in hand, Darby goes after Hardy but he hits him in the gentleman’s area to block! Horsecollaring Allin through a chair again... TWIST OF FATE WITH THE CHAIR! DARBY ALLIN WILL NOT STAY DOWN! Matt drags Darby back to Gorilla, past Tony Khan and BJ Whitmer, and throws him into some staging! Setting a ladder up, Hardy puts him on a table and climbs the ladder... DIVING LEG DROP THROUGH THE TABLE!

Cover... ALLIN KICKS OUT! Back to the stage, Darby crawling and desperate, Hardy jaws at him and draws him up, clubbing away, powerbomb lift, Allin slips out and kicks him right in the ding-ding! Darby goes and gets the bat and returns to the stage and whacks him across the back! HE HITS HIM A FEW MORE TIMES FULL-FORCE AND DESTROYS A MONITOR AT COMMENTARY BEFORE CHOKING MATT WITH THE BAT!

Darby climbs the scaffolding... COFFIN DROP THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE! IT’S OVER! IT’S OVER!

Darby Allin wins by pinfall with a Coffin Drop off a lighting scaffold to retain the AEW TNT Championship.

Darby holds the title high.

That’s the show, folks.
