AEW The House Always Wins results: Cody Rhodes put Aaron Solow through a table

Normally house show results aren’t a big deal, but this was no ordinary house show. AEW ventured into their first foray of non-televised events with The House Always Wins.

Quick results:

  • TNT title shot battle royale: Butcher won in 8 minutes 48 seconds. The advertised lineup included Will Hobbs, Lance Archer, Ricky Starks, Scorpio Sky, Ethan Page, Blade, Dustin Rhodes, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn, 10, and Colt Cabana.
  • MJF, Dax Harwood, Cash Wheeler, & Shawn Spears defeated Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus, Christopher Daniels, & Dante Martin in 14 minutes 3 seconds.
  • Jade Cargill defeated Reka Tahaka in 3 minutes 30 seconds.
  • Duuuval street fight: Cody Rhodes defeated Aaron Solow in 15 minutes 47 seconds.
  • Best Friends & Orange Cassidy defeated TH2 & Max Caster in 11 minutes 10 seconds.
  • Eddie Kingston defeated Cezar Bononi in 9 minutes 20 seconds.
  • Hikaru Shida, Tay Conti, Red Velvet, & Ryo Mizunami defeated Nyla Rose, Bunny, Dr. Britt Baker DMD, & Reba in 14 minutes. Conti pinned Reba.
  • PAC, Fenix, Pentagon, Matt Sydal, & Mike Sydal defeated Kenny Omega, Young Bucks, MT Nakazawa, & Konosuke Takeshita in 12 minutes 25 seconds.
  • TNT Championship: Darby Allin defeated Butcher.

The top two marquee bouts were Cody Rhodes getting his hands on Aaron Solow and Darby Allin defending the TNT Championship against one of Matt Hardy’s minions. Both contests saw post-match activity.

Cody earned victory in his street fight by putting Solow through a table.

Cody’s satisfaction was short-lived when Anthony Ogogo attacked.

After Allin’s successful effort in retaining the TNT title, Matt Hardy dropped some hard truths. Seeing Allin writhing in pain on the mat, I can only assume that HFO beat him up after his win. Allin and Hardy will meet in falls count anywhere with the TNT Championship on the line on Wednesday’s Dynamite. Hardy will hurt Allin like he’s never been hurt before.

Hardy also has beef with -1 of the Dark Order.

On the latest edition of Dynamite, Mike Tyson used his furious fists to bludgeon Shawn Spears of The Pinnacle. Tyson will return on Wednesday night as special enforcer for a singles bout between Chris Jericho and Dax Harwood. The FTR member was interviewed by Alex Marvez, and let’s just say that the next candidate to be pummeled by Tyson has emerged from the pack. If Tyson gets in Harwood’s face, Harwood confidently stated that he will knock Tyson out. Yeah, that’s not going to end well for Harwood.

In other notes, there were two unfamiliar names used on the card. Konosuke Takeshita teamed with the Elite and Nakazawa. He is from DDT Pro-Wrestling in Japan. Takeshita won 2013 Rookie of the Year from Tokyo Sports and has held numerous championships within that promotion. Reka Tahaka made her AEW debut against Cargill.
