AEW DYNAMITE RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR MAR. 24

Attention we have got, a medical emergency. The patient’s condition is critical and fading. Oh, I’ve got this under control, and I’m going to liveblog this here pro wrestling show for y’all right now.

The show opens with the intro video.

Kenny Omega vs. Matt Sydal

Collar and elbow, Omega going for a keylock, Sydal slips out, off the ropes, shoulder block puts Matt down. Off the ropes, tilt-a-whirl tijeras puts Kenny on his back and he bails! Back inside, test of strength, Omega with a wristlock and overhead elbows to the arm, elevated wristlocks and stomps the bicep! Sydal out, sliding knee in the corner!

Out and back in, Omega with a huge backbreaker, cover for two, Matt right back, crossleg brainbuster... NOPE! Putting Kenny up in the turnbuckles but Omega slips out and crotches him! Dragon suplex follows, he gets Sydal hung up in the ropes but he counters into a bridging pin for two! Roundhouse kick, Lightning Spiral... STILL NO! Kenny counters Meteora into a buckle bomb!

Powerbomb, roll him through... V-TRIGGER! SYDAL KICKS OUT! Another V-Trigger in the ropes, electric chair... SYDAL REVERSES WITH A POISON FRANKENSTEINER! Headed up top, but Kenny recovers and crotches him! V-Trigger connects, elect chair, again Matt reverses... VICTORY ROLL ALMOST PUTS OMEGA AWAY! Another V-Trigger, another electric chair...

Kenny Omega wins by pinfall with One-Winged Angel.

Dark Order and interviewed backstage and John Silver flexes to show how ready he is to fight Darby Allin. They do a bunch of fake Coffin Drops to show how he’s learned to evade it and then “Hangman” Adam Page chats with him one-on-one. Silver says he’s not nervous and Page says the Order will love him no matter what.

And so we go to break.

“Hangman” Adam Page vs. Cezar Bononi

Page using his speed to evade Bononi’s strength, he lands a kick, low-bridge, plancha but Cezar catches him and slams him into the apron! Back inside, throwing Hangman around, Adam with a couple lariats, big suplex, to the apron...

“Hangman” Adam Page wins by pinfall with Buckshot.

Page celebrates with a beer on the stage.

Lance Archer cuts a promo from a broken down warehouse somewhere.

He gives Sting credit for making him the wrestler he is, but it’s his time now and if people don’t give him his due, he’s gonna kick the house down around them.

Tony Schiavone interviews Dr. Britt Baker, DMD on the stage.

She calls the crowd disrespectful and dumb just like Thunder Rosa, and claims Rosa should be thanking her every day for letting her be part of history. She says she’s never seen more clearly than she did when blood was flowing into her eyes last week, and Tony Khan’s looking to sign every legend out there when he’s got her right under his nose, and she put AEW on the mat.

And those three letters in AEW come second to DMD.

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, Christian Cage is interviewed backstage with Dante Martin and the Varsity Blondes.

Christian says he’s giving them some friendly advice and Frankie Kazarian rolls up to yell at him for not having time for an old friend before revealing that he’s just giving him shit. But also he wants to know when the “work” part of “Out. Work. Everyone.” starts. Cage says he knows just how good Frankie is, and the work starts next week when the two of them have a match.

Dante Martin & Varsity Blondes (Brian Pillman, Jr. & Griff Garrison) vs. the Pinnacle (Cash Wheeler, Dax Harwood, & Shawn Spears)

Garrison and Spears to start, quick tag to Pillman, Shawn’s on the outs for a minute but gets the tag to Harwood and now Brian finds himself on the outs. Tag to Dante, going for dives but Wardlow gets in the way and they stop short. The Pinnacle confer amongst themselves on the floor and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Harwood hits a brainbuster on Martin and the Pinnacle go into quick tags and double-teams...

The Pinnacle win by pinfall with a Death Valley Driver from Shawn Spears on Dante Martin.

Post-match they attack Pillman and then Wheeler gets on the mic.

He says the Pinnacle isn’t just a name, it’s not just a group, it’s a family, and he’ll live and die for these men. Dax calls Santana and Ortiz out, and says this is a professional wrestling show and if you need to know where you stand in pro wrestling you come to AEW and you see the Pinnacle. Maxwell Jacob Friedman gets on the mic next and says he expected Chris Jericho would be back breaking the walls down by now but all he’s breaking is his chairs at home.

He knows Chris won’t come out because he’s terrified of them, and Tony Schiavone takes issue with that. MJF gets in his face and pats his cheek and Tony backs down. Friedman concludes by saying when you’re in the Pinnacle, you’re always on top.

Team Taz cut a promo from somewhere.

Taz says there’s no issues between them and Brian Cage apologized for last week, making everything good between them. They all say everything’s good.

QT Marshall is interviewed on the stage.

He says everybody thinks he’s frustrated and Cody Rhodes taught him the value of doing the work, and nobody in AEW besides Tony Khan himself has done more actual work than him. He knows, they’ve thrown him some bones, PPV appearances, a bunkhouse match, but he’s stuck being Cody’s friend to most people. And he’s not gonna deny that he’s Cody’s friend, but he wants to get out of his shadow by having an exhibition match against him next week.

Enter Cody Rhodes, arm in a sling.

He says he gets the angst and feels where his going, and although his heart’s not into it, he’ll gladly accommodate QT and give him his exhibition match and Arn Anderson will be the referee. He tells Marshall to understand that he’s going to do everything to stop him from winning, and with no intimidation, he says he’s not going to hurt him.

They shake on it and we go to break.

Laredo Kid and Lucha Brothers get an inset promo where they say they’re gonna win and come for the tag titles.

Brandon Cutler & Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) vs. Laredo Kid & Lucha Brothers (Penta el Zero M & Rey Fenix)

Fenix and Nick to start, a bit of light mat grappling, off the orpes, roll-out schoolboy trades with a victory roll, sidestepping dropkicks, double lariat, double kip-up, stalemate! Tags made, Matt and Penta legal, springboard arm drag into a crucifix pin, back heel trip, Jackson kips up under a kick, Sharpshooter applied but Penta gets the ropes!

Cutler and Kid in, springboard up and over, low kick, big slap, Brandon passes him off the ropes but Laredo does a tijeras, to the apron but the Bucks up him off! Rey back in, double Arabian press lucha arm drag sends the Bucks to the floor! Penta in, off the ropes, Brillo Pentagon! Fenix fired up, off the ropes, Cutler cuts him off with a kick and lands a springboard forearm!

Springboard senton atomico follows, Kid up top... ORIHARA MOONSAULT! Laredo up top, he gets cut off again and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Kid and Cutler are down and out and crawling for tags... NICK AND PENTA ARE LEGAL! Sling Blade for both Bucks, tag to Fenix, stereo superkicks, assisted splash... NOPE! Laredo with a springboard Frankensteiner, tags made, senton atomico, it gets broken up! Nick blocks an Ace Crusher, knee, Fenix with a tiger feint into a crescent kick, Jackson turns him inside out with a lariat!

Action continues, Risky Business sets up an elbow drop nearfall, senton on the apron takes Penta out, Fenix fighting two-on-one, big uppercut but Cutler back drops him into an Indietaker! Nick Jackson step up senton atomico, Nick eats a DDT, Kid off the top...

Laredo Kid & Lucha Brothers win by pinfall with a Spanish Fly from Kid on Brandon Cutler.

Post-match, Kenny Omega comes out of nowhere and blasts Laredo Kid with a microphone and smashes him with the title! He takes another mic from Don Callis and says he’s having vivid flashbacks to Fyter Fest in 2019, and he asks what happened, three years ago they all had a choice, a 12-year friendship, he would have liked to call it family, and what’d he choose?

Did he stay at home with the people that loved him? Did he go to greener pastures with New York? Where did he choose? He never chose AEW, he chose the Young Bucks and the vision they created together. He chose them and they never chose him back. Sure, Don Callis can come off a little abrasive, but he’s going to give the Bucks one more chance to throw up the Too Sweet.

They walk, Kenny says they’re done, and the Lucha Brothers attack! Double stomp / package piledriver! The Good Brothers come and help Omega to his feet and he gives a weak thumbs up, bleeding from the mouth.

We get a Jade Cargill video package / promo where she calls Red Velvet out.

Brandi and Cody Rhodes get a video package hyping up a new reality show they’re doing on TNT.

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial we get a recap of Eddie Kingston’s leg getting Pillmanized by Kenny Omega and the Good Brothers.

Eddie gets on the mic and says yeah, something’s broken, but this isn’t New Japan and they’re gonna pay for this. Where he and Jon Moxley come from, you take one out and one of yours gets put in the morgue. He gets excited and tries to stand but Mox gently takes over and says there’s war on the streets of Jacksonville. And these Young Bucks? He doesn’t know them or like them, he doesn’t play games, but he owes them one after last week.

He doesn’t like owing people stuff and he doesn’t want to be part of this Bullet Club melodrama, but they’re playing with live rounds, and they better be willing to get their hands dirty.

Nyla Rose vs. Tay Conti

Rose puts boots to her and steps on her midsection immediately, Conti comes right back with a Fujiwara armbar attempt but Nyla rolls her into a pin! Sidestep the charge, corner forearms, judo throw into an arm drag, another judo throw! Rose recovers, a modified Stranglehold Gamma of sorts with bonus biting the fingers, choke in the corner, Tay with a schoolboy for one.

Rose with a lariat, suplex into the ropes, following it up with the diving knee to the back of the neck... NOPE! Nyla with a disdainful kick and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Rose with a side slam, standing senton atomico but Conti gets the knees up! Hammering her with forearms, knees in the corner, drop toehold puts Nyla in the ropes. Hanging her over the ropes, Tay goes up top and hammers her with a knee trembler... NOPE! Back body drop to the apron, roundhouse kick, Conti over the top, pump kick gets a lariat, cover, only two!

Beast Bomb reversed, Nyla blocks the pin, Conti gets out, hamstring kick, solebutt, Rose with a knee lift, fireman’s carry, Tay slips out and hits a roundhouse kick! Running knee in the corner, another one, hammerlock...

Tay Conti wins by pinfall with DDTay.

Post-match, Nyla goes for the Beast Bomb but Hikaru Shida comes down with a kendo stick and wallops her! She beats Rose but Bunny comes down and whips Shida and Conti!

Matt Hardy comes down with Butcher and the Blade in tow and says the women’s eliminator was a sham because the Bunny wasn’t in it and his talent in the Hardy Family Office are not going to be overlooked anymore.

We get a video package recapping the issues between Best Friends, Miro, and Kip Sabian.

Commentary hypes up next week’s show.

We get a Scorpio Sky vignette setting up a match with Mike Sydal on Dark: Elevation next week and that sends us to break.

Darby Allin (c) vs. John Silver (AEW TNT Championship)

Circling, collar and elbow, Silver backs him into the corner and breaks clean at referee Bryce Remsburg’s behest. Back to the lockup, breaking it again and again, test of strength and John has the advantage. Allin with a wristlock takedown, into a side headlock when the Meat Man tries to kip up! A takeover, keeping the headlock gripped tight, shot off, and Silver destroys him with an uppercut that sends him to the floor!

Throwing Darby back in, Remsburg checks on him and the Raw Dog catches him with a corner uppercut and then biels him clean across the ring before flexing for the hardcam! Another biel into the turnbuckles, press slam into the corner, running knee, sheerdrop brainbuster... SO CLOSE! Both men recovering, we go to break.

Back from commercial, Allin is down and out on the floor and Silver goes out after him. Whip into the barricade, charge after and Darby sidesteps and he goes over the barricade! Alex Reynolds checks on his fellow Beaver Boy while Allin returns to the ring to wait through referee Bryce Remsburg’s count. Back to ringside at eight and Darby resets the clock with a suicide dive that only takes Alan “5” Angels out!

John with a suplex on the floor, Sting arrives bat in hand and the Dark Order scatters away from the Icon! Back inside, Silver’s arm is jacked and he has to switch to left hands and kicks. Calling for it, off the ropes, Allin ducks and turns it into a backslide but the Meat Man rolls through and hits a kick combo! Waistlock reversed with an arm drag, La Casita.... SILVER KICKS OUT!

Standing Diamond Dust countnered into a bodyscissors sleeper hold! Allin fading but he manages to pry himself loose via John’s ingured arm. Clubbing blows, he gets the sleeper back but Darby reverses to a pin that almost does it. Tornado implant DDT... NOT ENOUGH! A brief interlude on the floor, back inside, Silver with chest kicks but Allin powers up and catches one.

Palm strikes with the leg trapped, backing Silver into the corner but the Raw Dog unleashes with wild cracking chops! Boot up, victory roll countered, Darby out at the last second! Trading forearms in the middle of the ring, Silver with a flurry, off the ropes, springboard Coffin Drop glances off him and John hits a pump kick to block a followup!

Headed up top, Allin knocks him down and hits a Coffin Drop to the floor to wipe out the Dark Order! Big enzuigiri when he comes back, Silver up with him, Argentine backbreaker rack... AVALANCHE ARGENTINE POWERBOMB BUT THE COVER’S TOO CLOSE TO THE ROPES! Drawing him into the center of the ring, the Meat Man calls for it but Darby reverses the Brodie Bomb...

Darby Allin wins by pinfall with a Yoshi Tonic to retain the AEW TNT Championship.

Post-match, Matt Hardy pops up to attack Allin and the ringside area floods with bodies! Darby dives on Hardy before heading up to the ramp to stand tall with Sting.

That’s the show, folks.
