Women main evented Dynamite for the first time ever, and it was an incredible bloodbath

Tonight’s (Mar. 17) St. Patrick’s Day Slam edition of Dynamite featured the show’s first ever women’s main event match. Thunder Rosa battled against Britt Baker in an Unsanctioned Lights Out match. That’s quite a fitting stipulation for the best women’s feud in AEW history.

This was a violent fight right from the start. Baker got an early advantage thanks to interference from her assistant, Rebel. A few minutes in, Baker curb stomped Rosa right onto the steel ring steps, busting Rosa’s head wide open.

The violence only escalated from there once a ladder was introduced. There was a face buster onto the ladder, as well as a dropkick, and blood was pouring out of Baker’s skull.

A few minutes later, Baker brought out the thumbtacks. And then she was powerbombed onto those very same thumbtacks.

Baker somehow kicked out, and managed to apply her Lockjaw finisher while laying on the pile of thumbtacks. Rosa used the thumbtacks to escape Baker’s submission hold.

There happened to be one undamaged table in position outside the ring. With her body punctured with thumbtacks, Rosa finally finished Baker off using an Emerald Flowsion off the apron and through the table.

Holy shit, what a bloody and violent war. This was an unforgettable match.
