The AEW women’s roster has been a bit snakebit throughout its existence.
And just when things seemed to be looking up, with COVID travel restrictions easing and making the joshi performers they rely on more available, and Kris Statlander getting close to returning from an ACL tear, and Big Swole sharing that she’s getting treatment for a bad flare up of Crohn’s disease which had sidelined her... Dark Order’s Anna Jay suffered a shoulder injury which could have her out for up to a year.
99’s road back to the ring is still a long one, but yesterday (Mar. 11) she told the world she’s cleared a major hurdle. It sounds like surgery went well, and after a couple days of rest and comfort food, the 22 year old is gonna grind.
Hi everyone :) I just got out of my shoulder surgery, and all is well. For the next two days I will most likely sleep and eat only ice cream and soup. But after that...I will be working my ass off in any way I can. Thanks for all of the support and well wishes. ❣️ -99 pic.twitter.com/p12hX4DWgQ

Sounds like a good plan to us. Also looks like Anna was riding high on those post-surgical meds there. Either that or that’s the best can of ginger ale in the history of the universe.
Anyway, join us in sending Jay - and Swole, and the Galaxy’s Greatest Alien - healing vibes. Can’t wait to see them back on our screens!
