AEW is holding a Women’s World Championship Eliminator Tournament to determine a new number one contender for the women’s championship. Very few details were provided during the original announcement of the tourney.
New details about the tournament were finally revealed on tonight’s special (Feb. 3) Beach Break episode of Dynamite.

Matches will take place in both the USA and Japan. The Japanese side of the tournament includes the following eight wrestlers:
- Aja Kong
- Yuka Sakazaki
- Veny
- Emi Sakura
- Ryo Mizunami
- Mei Suruga
- Rin Kadokura
- Maki Itoh
The United States side of the tournament includes these eight wrestlers:
- Serena Deeb
- Riho
- Britt Baker
- Tay Conti
- Thunder Rosa
- Nyla Rose
- Anna Jay
- Leyla Hirsch
The winner of the tournament will earn a title match against AEW women’s champion Hikaru Shida.
