The best women’s feud in AEW history finally has a winner

Back in November 2020, Thunder Rosa and Britt Baker used Twitter to kick off the best women’s feud in AEW history. Their feud has been featured on television with some run-ins and brawls, but a match was pushed back in January due to COVID.

More than two months in the making, Rosa and Baker finally met in the squared circle on tonight’s special (Feb. 3) Beach Break episode of Dynamite.

Late in the match, Baker’s assistant Rebel handed her the Lockjaw glove. Rosa was able to get to the ropes before the hold was applied, but a sudden curb stomp put Rosa back down. Baker tried applying Lockjaw, but Rosa kept rolling her way out of Baker’s grip.

Rosa came back with a Death Valley Driver, but it wasn’t enough to keep Baker down.

Rebel entered the ring and pulled off a middle turnbuckle pad. Rosa was distracted by the interference, giving Baker the advantage. Baker eventually rammed Rosa face first into the exposed steel, knocking Rosa out cold. The oblivious referee had no idea what was going on.

Baker applied Lockjaw anyway, even though Rosa was motionless. Rosa was done, with Baker declared as the winner.

Did the match between Baker and Rosa live up to the hype?
