Tonight’s (Feb. 24) episode of AEW Dynamite featured a second round match on the USA side of the bracket in the women’s title eliminator tournament - Nyla Rose vs. Britt Baker. Rose qualified for this match by defeating Tay Conti in round one, while Baker had an easier path thanks to Anna Jay’s devastating injury.
Early on, Baker was understandably desperate to avoid Rose’s powerful grip. This included stalling the match by running away from the ring and throwing a fit.

That wouldn’t last forever. Rose did eventually get her hands on Baker, but not before Baker injured Nyla’s arm on the guardrail. Rebel, Baker’s assistant, ran into the ring at one point, but no disqualification was called. She paid for it with a cannonball.
Rose got Baker up for a Beast Bomb, but it wasn’t enough to keep Baker down. So she tried it again, and that’s all she wrote.
Nyla Rose moves on to face the winner of Riho vs. Thunder Rosa, which takes place this Sunday (Feb. 28) on Bleacher Report.
