AEW DYNAMITE RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR FEB. 24

My frame works in constant confusion, I can’t peel away the flowers of this psychic disturbance and our riotous defects, but I can liveblog this here pro wrestling show for you, folks.

The show opens into the intro video.

Ryan Nemeth gets a promo where he says he’s coming for the starring role tonight.

Jon Moxley vs. Ryan Nemeth

Moxley blocks the big DDT, a little back and forth and he slaps Nemeth down! Ryan gets some facelock knees off, runs the ropes, Jon catches him with a back suplex! Stomping away, wishboning the fingers in the corner, Ryan with a boot up, forearms, whip reversed, up and over, shoulder thrust in the corner. Running, Mox catches him with a corner lariat but eats a dropkick right on the button!

Block the neckbreaker, full nelson as a transition, Moxley grabs a guillotine briefly...

Jon Moxley wins by pinfall with the Paradigm Shift.

Post-match, Mox cuts a promo about how he’s never stopped thinking about regaining his title and he’ll do whatever it takes against Kenny Omega in their exploding barbed wire deathmatch. He does some word association and asks how the images make you feel, and admits that he’s addicted to being in the ring, living close to the flame, to the feeling of coming out here with all the blood, sweat, and tears and laying his soul bare every night.

He tells Kenny he’s just the latest in a long, sad line of guys that have tried to kick him out, and win, lose, or draw, talks about everybody watching, everybody who’s stuck by him through everything, and says if it comes to an end at Revolution, that’s a perfect way to go out.

We get a video package detailing the history between Omega and Moxley.

Lance Archer and Rey Fenix are interviewed last weak about their qualifying match for the Face of the Revolution ladder match at Revolution.

Archer says iron sharpens iron and there’s a reason they make a great team, but he’s gonna kick Fenix’s ass. Fenix responds in Spanish and the interviewer translates, saying he’s the worst partner Rey has ever had. This gets them brawling, Fenix using his speed to dodge Lance and send him crashing into some stuff scattered around the room.

Commentary hypes up the rest of the show and we go to break.

Back from commercial, we get a recap of the Inner Circle getting into it with the Young Bucks’ dad last week and footage of their mom taking a picture with the three of them in front of a truck with their picture on it.

Team Taz (Brian Cage & Ricky Starks) vs. Varsity Blondes (Brian Pillman, Jr. & Griff Garrison)

Pillman and Starks to start, little bit of light mat grappling, tagging in and out but Ricky fires up and comes back, spilling to the floor and eating a dropkick from Brian! The match breaks down, Cage powerbombs Pillman into the post and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Cage is curling Pillman before chucking him aside like a sack of potatoes! Tag to Starks, the heat segment rolls on, Brian gets away and tags Garrison in! We get an interview where Kip Sabian complains about Chuck Taylor and Orange Cassidy ruining his wedding.

Miro promises to destroy “that walking Xanax little human being” Orange, but it’s different with “Charles” because he likes him. Tony Schiavone is handed a note and it’s a elementary school “do you like me” note but from Best Friends asking for a tag team match at Revolution. Miro tells him to stop acting like a child and be a man before eating the note and then spitting it at Tony.

Brandon Cutler vs. Jake Hager

Cutler in with a right hand, using his speed to duck and dodge and land strikes but Hager hosses him out of the corner and throws him into the ropes. Off the ropes, duck a lariat, wheelbarrow countered into a German suplex! Another wheelbarrow German suplex connects, throwing Brandon around the ring. Whip across, Cutler with a kick, gamengiri from the apron, low bridge sends Jake to the floor!

Matt Jackson gets on the mic and calls Chris Jericho and Maxwell Jacob Friedman out, saying they don’t have to wait until Revolution and why don’t they get their stupid asses out here right now!

Judas plays but Jericho and MJF appear on the tron instead of making his entrance. He asks why waste time when they’re just gonna beat ass at Revolution before saying they found somebody wandering around... AND Y2J PULLS A BLOODIED PAPA BUCK UP AND SMASHES HIS FACE INTO THE TRUCK FROM EARLIER! Friedman gets his licks in as well and Chris tells them to call a doctor or come pick up their trash.

They do the Young Bucks pose and we cut to the Bucks rushing backstage to find their dad and hunt the Inner Circle boys down. Nick tends to his dad and Matt runs after them only for the Inner Circle to drive away and send us to break.

Back from commercial we get a minute or two of follow-up to the previous angle.

A video package for the Shaq/Cody mixed tag follows.

“Hangman” Adam Page vs. Isiah Kassidy

Kassidy hard out the gates, Page brawls right back and hits the fallaway slam! Isiah to the floor and back in, putting boots to the Hangman! Page clips him out of midair with a boot, a plancha follows and Adam puts Kassidy over the barricade and into the crowd. Breaking the count, drawing Isiah up and putting him back inside. Matt Hardy runs interference, posting Page while referee Aubrey Edwards is distracted!

Beaver Boys come to the ring to even the odds and Aubrey throws Matt out! Kassidy puts boots to Page, wrenching his arm over the ropes, he keeps the pressure up and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Kassidy is working a top wristlock but Page manages to shake him. To the apron, big forearm, Hangman snaps his arm over the ropes for some breathing room! Beaver Boys being his very own cheering section, lining Isiah up for Buckshot but he staggers him with an elbow! Off the ropes, Page hits a rolling elbow... NOPE! Off the ropes, catch Kassidy into a snap Death Valley Driver!

Both men down and out, Isiah ducks a sliding lariat but gets nailed with a sheerdrop brainbuster... ONLY TWO! Pump kick, enzuigiri, Poison Frankensteiner, Kassidy putting it together but he can’t keep Page down! Cross armbar, Hangman gets the ropes! Pass Isiah to the apron, upkick blocks the arm work, triangle lariat countered with an arm snap over the top rope!

Kassidy lines him up, springboard into a flip piledriver, he gets caught and reversed...

“Hangman” Adam Page wins by pinfall with a Beach Break.

Post-match, Matt Hardy appears over the PA and says he hopes he likes his decision to side with the Dark Order over him, because he’s going to hurt him and every member of the Dark Order. Hardy drags Alan Angels out onto the stage and throws him off the stage and through the timekeeper’s table!

We go to a workshop somewhere where Alex Marvez wants to interview Kenny Omega, who’s hammering something. Don Callis rolls up and says they’re working on something they call the Moxley Elimination Chamber. Omega says he’s building it himself so he can take all the credit when he runs Mox off.

Nearfall off the cover, she grabs the turnbuckle and gets into a brief argument with referee Paul Turner that leads Baker to get a small package nearfall!

Kicks, Britt with a crucifix driver... NOPE! Lockjaw reapplied but Nyla fights out with elbows! She gets Baker up... BEAST BOMB CAN’T KEEP THE DOCTOR DOWN! Hoisting Britt up, ducking a superkick, getting her up again...
