Looking to one up those 50 year old Japanese dudes winning titles, AEW is putting their 60-somethings in action on Dynamite. First, it was Sting taking a powerbomb. In two weeks, Tully Blanchard will join FTR in a match against Jurassic Express.
It will be the 67 year old’s first action in 14 years.
Of course, there’s lots of ways a match can be structured to ensure the WWE and NWA Hall of Famer doesn’t see much action. My guess is he’s gonna bump for Marko Stunt. Blanchard’s been talking trash to the Express’ smallest member. He could get thrown around by Luchasaurus, though. You can’t be cutting off a dinosaur’s horns. We’ll see how they play it.
That match joins the Cody & Red Velvet vs. Shaquille O’Neal & Jade Cargill mixed tag on the Revolution go home show. AEW also booked the following line-up for next week’s Dynamite:
- Hangman Page vs. Isiah Kassidy
- Anna Jay/Britt Baker winner vs. Nyla Rose/Tay Conti winner in a Women’s Championship Eliminator quarterfinal match
- Ricky Starks and Brian Cage vs. Varsity Blondes
- Jake Hager vs. Brandon Cutler
Needs more sexagenarians, but otherwise sounds like a good show, no?
