As most of us figured given the short amount until Revolution, and AEW’s established pattern of booking one women’s match per episode of Dynamite, the next set of AEW Women’s Eliminator Tournament matches will take place online.
The Mon., Feb. 22 YouTube show will feature the final two U.S. bracket first round matches (from Jacksonville’s Daily’s Place) and the Japan bracket’s quarterfinal bouts (from Ice Ribbon Dojo in Saitama):
- Tay Conti vs. Nyla Rose
- Britt Baker vs. Anna Jay
- Aja Kong vs. Ryo Mizunami
- Yuka Sakazaki vs. Emi Sakura
The winners of Conti/Rose and Baker/Jay will face-off on the Feb. 24 Dynamite.
After that, the Japan semi-final and one half of the U.S. semi-final will be set. The Riho vs. Thunder Rosa second round match, both semi-finals, and the final will need to take place the week of Mar. 1 in order for the tournament winner to challenge AEW Women’s champion Hikaru Shida at the Mar. 7 PPV.
Sound like a plan?
