Hangman Page pulls one over on Matt Hardy to set up a money match at AEW Revolution

New, 4 comments

Tonight’s (Feb. 17) episode of AEW Dynamite kicked off with Hangman Page and Matt Hardy teaming up to take on TH2 (Angelico & Jack Evans).

This match furthered the relationship between Page and Hardy, following last week’s angle where Hardy tried to trick Page into signing a dubious contract. However, Hardy didn’t realize that Page pulled a switcheroo and fooled him into signing a different document.

They took care of business here in this match, with Buckshot Lariats and Twist of Fates making all the difference in victory.

After the match, Hardy bragged about his 30% share of Page’s purse based on the contract signed last week. That’s when Page revealed the actual contract terms: the contract is for a match. It will be Page vs. Hardy at AEW Revolution on Mar. 7. If Page wins, he gets 100% of Hardy’s earnings in the first quarter of 2021.

Hardy was incredulous, but then asked Page to also put 100% of his earnings from Q1 2021 on the line. That’s only fair. Page agreed to the money match.

That’s when a Jacksonville Jaguars mascot attacked Page; it turns out that Private Party had Hardy’s back. But the Dark Order had Page’s back too, and chaos ensued between all parties.

The end result is that we’re getting Page vs. Hardy at Revolution with a whole lot of money on the line. And we’re one step closer to Hangman Page embracing the Dark Order as his true friends.
