62 year old Sting was powerbombed by Brian Cage

Tonight’s (Feb. 17) episode of Dynamite promised a confrontation between Sting and Team Taz. Sting wanted revenge after Team Taz dragged Darby Allin through the streets in a body bag last week.

Taz came out to the ring first, without his full team present. He blamed Sting for bringing the snow to the south that created travel problems for his guys. Nonetheless, Brian Cage was still there, and he’s intimidating enough.

Sting came out and stepped right into the ring. Taz bemoaned Sting’s reliance on his baseball bat, so Sting dropped the weapon. That turned out to be a big mistake, and exactly what Taz was hoping for.

Sting wasn’t in the mood for any talking. He got physical without much hesitancy. The problem is that he was clearly outnumbered, and it led to his first bump in more than five years - a powerbomb at the hands of Brian Cage.

This is a live episode of Dynamite and there didn’t appear to be anything cinematic about this spot. Sting is turning 62 years old next month, and he’s out here taking a powerbomb. Maybe he’ll be getting more physical in AEW than many fans have anticipated.

Are you hoping to see more of this from Sting on Mar. 7 in his comeback match at AEW Revolution?
