The Women’s World Championship Eliminator Tournament finally began on tonight’s (Feb. 10) episode of Dynamite. Thunder Rosa took on “Legit” Leyla Hirsch in first round action on the United States side of the bracket.
Rosa was the heavy favorite in this match, because she has history with Hikaru Shida and Serena Deeb, as well as more pressing ongoing issues with Britt Baker. But Hirsch proved that she’s no slouch, and that nobody in AEW should take her lightly:
.@LegitLeyla is quick to gain control in the opening moments of this first-round match in the AEW Women's World Championship eliminator tournament.

Rosa was able to brave the storm and later pulled out the win with a sit-out Michinoku Driver.
With the victory over Hirsch, Rosa moves onto the second round, where she is lined up to face the winner of Riho vs. Serena Deeb. That match takes place next week (Feb. 17) on Dynamite.
Is Thunder Rosa your pick to win the United States side of the bracket in the Women’s World Championship Eliminator Tournament?
