AEW released their latest rankings (Feb. 10, 2021). Let’s check out the movers and shakers.
PAC moved up two spots with a convincing win over enhancement talent VSK on Dark. Fenix and Miro both moved down one spot accordingly.
It will be interesting to see where PAC slides in at the Revolution PPV on March 7. It feels like Jon Moxley will get a rematch against Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship. Could PAC be added to that mix? If not, then perhaps PAC gets a big-time bout against Lance Archer or KENTA.
There is a new #1 in town. Red Velvet jumped over Serena Deeb with a win over Diamante on Dark. Dr. Britt Baker DMD’s victory over Thunder Rosa on Dynamite popped her up one spot to #2. Deeb dropped two spots to #3. Tay Conti continued her run of wins on Dark to rise above Thunder Rosa.
Dr. Baker gets no respect. She should be above Red Velvet this week. A top 5 win, albeit with interference, over Thunder Rosa should have more value than a win over unranked yet sturdy hand Diamante.
AEW was overzealous in shooting Red Velvet up the charts. I understand it looks nice to have #1 next to her name during the hype toward Cody & Lil Cupcake versus Shaquille O’Neal & Jade Cargill on March 3, but it happened too quick. Now, she will be clogging up the gums atop the rankings while the women’s tournament plays out.
Chris Jericho & MJF leapfrogged over FTR and Jurassic Express after winning the tag team battle royale last week to earn a title shot at Revolution. The Inner Circle will have an opportunity to tighten their game when they wrestle #4 The Acclaimed tonight on Dynamite.
Do you agree with AEW’s rankings this week? If not, what would you change?
