Here’s a good one.
The Buffalo Bills went down to Jacksonville to play the Jaguars today (Nov. 7, 2021) for Week 9 of the NFL season. The Bills, at 5-2, went into the game confident as two touchdown favorites over the lowly Jags, 1-6 coming into this week. Stefon Diggs, a wide receiver for Buffalo, did this during pre-game:

I’m not sure if that’s paying tribute, or a sly dig, or what his intent was. It’s pretty cool either way you slice it.
What came next, at least for the Bills, not so much.
Jacksonville went out and put on one of its best defensive performances in a long time, holding the high powered Bills to just 6 points. The Jags only got 9 but that was enough to win. Diggs wasn’t the problem, for what it’s worth, as he caught 6 passes for 85 yards. His quarterback, Josh Allen, was simply under fire the entire day and made one too many mistakes.
Those cleats are neat, though.
