Andrade’s deal with The Pinnacle pays off again against Cody Rhodes

Surprisingly, Cody Rhodes vs. Andrade El Ídolo didn’t main event the Nov. 3 episode of Dynamite in Independence, Missouri. The expectation was this would provide some clues as to what’s going on with Rhodes’ character... especially after Andrade’s ally Malakai Black teased someone betraying Cody during his promo about being banned from ringside earlier in the show.

The crowd was largely behind Andrade throughout, especially when he busted out Eddie Guerrero’s Three Amigos. In that case, as was the case throughout most of this one, El Ídolo had an answer for anything Rhodes came up with.

Cody and his coach Arn Anderson finally looked to have things in hand, but Andrade’s business arrangement with The Pinnacle bit the American Nightmare once again. FTR was under the ring and ready to make sure Rhodes dove right into the AAA Tag titles they’d successfully defended earlier in the night.

Things broke down after that, and we got a tease of Horsemen Arn & Tully Blanchard coming to blows (or maybe teaming up?) before Lucha Bros ran in to even the odds.

Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler and Rey Fenix & Penta El Zero M are certainly on a collision course. It’s less clear what’s next in the saga of Cody Rhodes.
