Miro replaces Moxley, and earns a date with Danielson at Full Gear

With Jon Moxley pulled from the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament as he focuses on recovery, Tony Khan kept plans for his replacement close to his vest... until the Nov. 3 Dynamite was on the air.

As many surmised, TK’s “very logical way to resolves” Mox being unavailable to face Orange Cassidy in the semi-finals was God’s Forsaken Champion, Miro.

The semi-final between the former TNT champion and the Best Friend was the main event of the show, with the man the winner would face at Full Gear for a title shot on commentary.

Both combatants were taped up. O.C. still selling the damage from last month’s #1 contender ladder match; it was unclear why Miro’s thigh was wrapped. But they had new injuries to sell after this one thanks to spots like this one.

Cassidy tried to follow that up with an Orange Punch. He had to settle for Beach Break, but that very nearly ended it. It only angered Miro, though. After a few big shots, he locked in Game Over and Cassidy quickly tapped out.

Bryan Danielson made his way to the ring to offer his hand to his Full Gear opponent, but Miro was having none of it. We’re certainly in though, as that’s gonna be a hell of a match on Nov. 13 in Minneapolis.
